Of Threesomes and Foreign Languages Empty

Luca stood at the entrance to the park, watching with an incredulous look on his face as Killian kissed that freak.
Yeah, he and Killian weren’t official… weren’t even a thing really. A night of passion didn’t mean they were dating or anything. But still…
It pissed Luca the fuck off.
He made his way over to the three boys, sitting on the edge of the fountain near them.
“Ah, if it isn’t my favorite crocodile.” Killian shot a wink at the other man as he noticed him.
“Here I am.” Luca nodded in agreement. “Who’re your friends?” He arched an eyebrow.
“This here is my lady Shion.” Killian gestured to the boy who simply shook his head.
Luca eyed the boy up close now, it taking all he had to keep from smacking the kid.
“I’m Luca, pleasure to meet you.” He took Shion’s hand, pressing a kiss to the back of it. He could be a charming asshole too…
Shion laughed softly, nodding as he looked over at Luca. The man definitely was handsome, although he did prefer Quinn.
Killian chuckled to himself, shaking his head. He saw where this was going from a mile away…
And sure enough, Shion took no notice as the money was taken from his back pocket. Luca let go of his hand, smiling at the boy before he turned back to Killian.
“So, you two a thing or something?” He arched an eyebrow.
“Well-“ Killian began, a sly smirk on his face.
“We’re not.” Shion finished firmly.
“Oh, seemed like it from what I saw.” Luca said, his jaw clenching just the tiniest bit.
“You know, crocodile, yar sort of turning me on with all the jealousy.” Killian grinned, his sea blue eyes suggestive as he watched the other.
“Jealousy?” Shion questioned. “Oh, you two are together?” He hadn’t meant to come in between that. Killian had wanted to kiss him, not the other way around.
“We’re not.” Luca shook his head.
“Heh’s just got ah thing for meh.” Killian winked.
“I have the thing for you?” Luca arched an eyebrow. “If I recall, it was you on your back underneath of me last night.”
And for once, Killian was speechless, though only for a moment as Shion and Kaiden both snickered.
“Ah’ll skin ya, crocodile!” Killian exclaimed, withdrawing the knife from his sleeve, waving it menacingly inches from Luca’s face.
Killian continued to berate the man, his eyes blazing.

The next day, Killian was still dealing with the jabs from Kaiden and Shion. Luca, however was a man on a mission. Killian had said something to him the other night about Shion having a thing for Kaiden’s brother. Well if Shion could kiss Luca’s love interest, Luca could sure as hell flirt with his. He was good at finding out information about people quickly. And that was why he was knocking on the Kensington’s door.
Moments later, a boy with long black hair and glasses nearly falling off his nose.
“Hello?” Quinn arched an eyebrow, book pressed to his chest. He didn’t recognize this man.
“Hi, um, I’m Luca. And you are?” Luca smiled, extending a tanned, calloused hand.
“Quinn...” He tentatively shook the man’s hand, eyeing him up and down. “I don’t mean to be rude but… who are you?”
“Sorry, I’m a friend of Killian’s, I was just wondering if he was over here?”
“Why would he be?” Quinn questioned.
“Well he’s a friend of your brother’s I heard, and I couldn’t find him anywhere else so I just came to check.”
“Oh, well he’s not here. I’m sorry…” Quinn trailed off. He came off rather rude when he was just awkward. He disliked talking to strangers.
“That’s alright… Mind if I come in and wait for him?”
“Sure thing.” Quinn stepped back from the door, gesturing the man inside. He shut the door behind Luca before taking the seat he’d been in previously, book on his lap.
They sat in silence for a while before Luca began humming softly to himself. Quinn glanced up at him.
“If you don’t mind me asking, what kind of accent is that you've got? It sounds a bit Hispanic if I’m not mistaken… Where are you from?”
“You’re right.” Luca nodded at the boy, smiling lightly. “I was born in Peru. Lived there until I was five.”
“Oh wow.” Quinn put his book down, adjusting his glasses. “Would you mind telling me what it’s like there? I love learning about other cultures!” He leaned closer, his eyes wide with fascination.
Luca chuckled softly. The kid was cute, but more in a little kid sort of way. He wasn’t really Luca’s type.
“Of course. It’s beautiful. I’d love to go back there again someday. Maybe you could come with.” He offered lightly.
“Oh that’d be stupendous!” Quinn’s glasses nearly fell off his face as he bounced eagerly.
Luca laughed lightly, his dazzling smile being flashed at Quinn. This had been easier than he thought to flirt with the boy.
“Are you familiar with the poet Francisco De Aldana?” Quinn asked.
“Yes actually… I’ve never known anyone who knew him other than my father.” Luca smiled gently. “He’s a favorite poet of mine.”
“I love his work!” Quinn nodded. “Especially his sonnets.”
“You can read them?”
“Well, I’ve only read translated versions. I wish I’d learned Spanish, I feel like I’ve lost so much in the translation, you know?”
“What’s your favorite? Mine is Al Cielo.” Luca nodded.
“That’s mine! I believe it translates to To Heaven?” Quinn beamed. “Oh, do you know it? I’d love to hear it in the native language.”
“It’s one of the only things I carry around with me.” Luca reached into his pocket, pulling out a piece of paper. “I have it written down, but I’ve got it memorized.” He smiled at the other boy before clearing his throat and reciting the sonnet in flawless Spanish.
“Clara fuente de luz, nuevo y hermoso,
rico de luminarias, patrio Cielo,
casa de la verdad sin sombra o velo,
de inteligencias ledo, almo reposo:
¡oh cómo allá te estás, cuerpo glorioso,
tan lejos del mortal caduco velo,
casi un Argos divino alzado a vuelo,
de nuestro humano error libre y piadoso!”
At this point, Killian, Kaiden, and Shion had arrived at the home, like Luca had hoped. They walked in to see Luca holding one of Quinn’s hands, reciting the poem in low, husky whisper.
Killian arched an eyebrow curiously.
Quinn had leaned in closer without realizing it, enthralled with the way the man was speaking.
Shion, who’d been excited to see Quinn, stopped bouncing around as his face fell. He’d been trying to get up the courage to ask the boy out lately. And now there was this guy from yesterday, ruining everything… He nudged Killian who wasn’t saying anything at all, which was certainly unusual for him. Killian just watched as a knot formed in his stomach while Luca finished the sonnet.
“¡Oh patria amada!, a ti sospira y llora
esta en su cárcel alma peregrina,
llevada errando de uno en otro instante;

esa cierta beldad que me enamora
suerte y sazón me otorgue tan benina
que, do sube el amor, llegue el amante.” Luca nodded, a grin on his face at the mesmerized look Quinn wore.
“Refulgent source of light, sublime and new,
my native Heaven, opulent with light,
without a veil or shadow, house of truth,
to wisdom bringing harmony, delight.
Oh splend'rous realm, so far away you are,
so distant from the mortal waning veil,
divine as Argo, risen up in flight,
forgiving sins however we may fail.
Oh Native land! For you this wand'ring soul,
laments and grieves in its confinement, locked,
each moment, led stumbling aimlessly through time
That perfect beauty which inflames my heart,
may it afford me strength and fortune fair,
so where love rises will the lover climb.” Quinn translated with a smiled, not even noticing the boys that had entered and were still watching them. “It sounds so much more beautiful when you say it though.” He blushed deeply at how stupid he thought he must have sounded.
And as the blood rose to the awkward boy’s cheeks, Killian had a strong urge to choke the life out of him, though it didn’t show on his face. He made his way over, seating himself right in between the two men casually.
“Ah, crocodile, I didn’t know ya had such a theng far scallywags like tha’ bloke but alright. I’m in.” Killian nodded, tossing an arm over each of their shoulders.
“In for what?” Quinn raised an eyebrow, scooting away from the other.
“Tha threesome of course, love!” Killian winked at the boy. “Yar a bit scrawny far mah liking, but ah’m sure we could do something with ya.”
