Cancer Pink.

Shannon grinned, leaning so their foreheads were pressed together as he kissed the boy sweetly. He was going to be okay. He could make it through this for Brice.

Brice would not be able to live if his Shannon were to pass. It would simply collapse his heart.
"We're gonna be okay Shay."

"I know we are." Shannon nodded, his arms tight around Brice's neck.
But as the months passed, it certainly didn't look that way. All the symptoms Trever had warned them about were certainly showing and the chemo was taking its effect on him.

Honestly Trever had already figured it was terminal but he continued to treat Shannon accordingly. Brice had been babying Shannon more than normal, to the point he didnt sleep some nights just to watch his lover.

Shannon liked to have Brice with him at all times. He kept on a bright smile even on the days he felt like shit. Brice tended to his every whim and he couldn't have had a better lover.
This morning, Shannon had awoken to find a clump of his dirty blonde hair lying on his pillow. It felt like the wind was knocked right out of him but he simply clutched it in his hand, hiding it so his lover wouldn't see before burying his face in Brice's neck.

Brice wrapped his arms securley around his sick lover, brow creasing in worry.
"Something hurt? What hurts?". His voice was immediately in edge.

"I'm okay..." Shannon murmured into the man's neck, hugging him close. Brice was just barely comfortable dating a man, what about a balding man? "Can we go out tonight?" Before he got too bad...

"Uhm." Brice didn't really want to take Shannon out. He wanted his lover to be in bed resting, trying to get his strength to fight this cancer. "How about some other time babe? Batman has some things to do tonight." Such as deal with a sickly lover.

"Oh..." Shannon's face fell but he tried to act normal, nodding his head. "Okay, sure, that's fine... Can't keep Batman from solving crimes and such." He flashed a halfassed smile before it fell again. He looked sicker than he felt, his skin losing it's normally tanned color, now a sickly pale.

"Shay, what is wrong with you?" Brice gently reached to take the boys face in his hands, his stomach knotting in worry. He himself looked as if here were getting sick. Taking care of a cancer sickened lover did that to a person.

"Nothing is wrong." Shannon shook his head, tugging away from his lover, his hand still balled into a tight fist to hide the chunk of his hair. "I just wanted to go out tonight, okay?" He sighed softly, moving to sit at the edge of the bed, looking down at himself.

"Shannon, please don't do that." Brice sighed softly, dropping his head down in frustration. He was so tired.

"I'm not doing anything." Shannon sighed softly. "I just wanted to go out with you before I look all sickly... but I guess I do already." He hung his head.

"Shannon baby, its not that you look too sick. I just...I want you here, resting." The boy shook his head, clasping Shannon's hands between his own. "I want you to rest up and get stronger."

"I just want you close to me..." Shannon murmured, laying down atop of Brice's chest, nuzzling his neck.

"I am close to you!" Brice exclaimed rather dubiously. He had not left Shannon for anything.

"Then I want you to stay that way." Shannon whined, clinging to the man tightly, his words sounding rather slurred like they often did lately.

"And I will, but if you dont get your rest and you get sicker it will make it harder so you gotta rest." Brice was already overly exhausted with caring for Shannon but he would not give up.

"But I'm sick of resting." He sighed softly, nuzzling Brice's neck. "I love you though..."

"I love you too, and im sick of you being sick so you gotta get better!" Brice urged his lover like he often did.

"I'm trying." Shannon groaned, squeezing the boy in a tight hug. "Maybe I'd feel better if I got out of the house." He stuck his tongue out although he wouldn't really push the subject if Brice didn't want him to go out.

Brice stared at him, frown in place. The frown he wore now was something he wore normally. He could not smile anymore it seemed, like the worry of losing Shannon had zapped the happy out of him.

Shannon let his lips form a plump pout, resting their foreheads together.
"Smile." He let two fingers move to tug the corners of Brice's mouth up.

"Course baby." And so Brice did, giving a small smile to his lover in an attempt to make him happy.

Shannon smiled sweetly back at him, kissing him softly.
"That's better..." He let his lips trail kisses down Brice's neck, holding him close.
