Of Mercenaries & Love Affairs

Christophe reached his hand into Eric 's bag, smiling as though in gratitude as he popped a chip into his mouth. "Do 'ou 'ave zomeone elze?" He was passing time before the movie began, more interested in Eric than anything else.

"No I don't." Eric shook his head, glancing to Christophe, his eyes scanning over the man's face. "Just me." He smiled lightly.

Christophe had nothing to say to this, knowing well what it was like to be all alone. He turned his attention back to the television, much too distracted by Eric to actually get interested in the movie. It was a wonder to him why Eric didn't just look into the mirror all day. "'ave 'ou eever wanteed to act?"

"I think it would be cool but I'm not really good at it." Eric shrugged his shoulders, his eyes flickering from the screen and back to Christophe again, torn between watching the movie and interacting with this man. The way he got involved with his movies was actually sort of endearing. It nearly pained him to look away.

Christophe fell into silence, and though he still didnt care to follow the movie, he pretended to. It just wasnt for him, he found the entire movie to be shit. But he would endure it, just to sit and watch how much Eric was enjoying it.

"You don't look like you enjoyed it." Eric finally said with a soft smirk, speaking for the first time only when the movie was over.

"Eh." Christophe rolled his shoulders. "Eet waz a dumb Ameerican moviee." A cigarette had already been lit and was slowly burning between the boys fingers. "'Ou weere more eenteresting."

"I was more interesting?" Eric laughed softly. "You must have very strange interests." He hummed, watching the cigarette burn.

"Znyzhing eez moree eenterezting zhen that sheet." Christophe took another draw from his cigarette, letting it linger in his lungs before slowly allowing it to float from his nose.

"You're so rude." Eric clicked his tongue shaking his head. "Well what would you like to do that's more entertaining?" Eric rolled his eyes teasingly, glancing to the other man.

"Zleep." Christophe sat himself up, sighing softly. He was missing Livius, even though he would never admit it. "I don't caree vhat wee do."

Eric frowned for a moment before shaking his head.
"Sorry for boring you." He spoke softly, his voice truly apologetic. He was quite worried he may have screwed up his chance of getting this man to actually like him.

"Makee up for eet." Christophe pushed himself up, sitting closer to Eric. "Zhow mee zomething fun to do eer. With 'ou? I am juzt not zhe typee to zit and watch movieez."

Eric appeared to think over these words for a moment, but really he was just getting up nerve to do something. Finally, after making sure the cigarette was out of the man's mouth, he moved forward rather quickly, pressing his lips tightly against Christophe's, a hand moving to grip a handful of the man's dirty brown hair.

Christophe's hands came up as though to shove Eric away, the sudden movement putting him on edge. Yet as he was kissed, he found himself relaxing. His lips loosened, and as he grasped what was happening, he pressed back.

"This might be more entertaining." Eric murmured, pressing closer to Christophe so their noses were touching as his hands ran through the man's hair gently.

"I would zay zo." Christophe's hands hesitantly moved to run over Eric's back. "Things juzt got veery eenterezting oveer 'ere."

Eric smiled lightly at this, allowing his own hands to run down Christophe's sides, tugging gently on the man's jacket as he kissed him again.

That night Christophe would remember as his first one night stand.
Or so he had thought.
But one night turned into two, and from there almost two weeks. Even though Christophe had left to a mission, or to see Livius, he always found his way back to Eric.
Currently his work had dropped him in America.
For almost two months.
He had been there already for one, living with Eric while he was there. He wasnt able to go visit Livius either, being his missions truly were keeping him busy. But yet he always came home, filthy and banged up to slide in behind Eric in the early hours of the morning. Everyday Eric had to wash the sheets. But at least he made it home everyday, got to see Eric everyday.
Livius couldnt say the same. It had been over a month since he had touched Christophe.

And Livius was missing the man so very much. Christophe had informed him of Eric just a few days after they met and while Livius hadn't said anything at first, he hated Eric already. And he hated him even more when he thought about the man getting to love Christophe each and every night while he was stuck here, alone...
So he decided he wouldn't allow this. The very next morning he went out and bought his plane ticket to America. It would be the first time he'd been there and he realized he had no clue where Christophe even lived, but he would figure it out. None of that mattered. All that mattered was him getting his Christophe before this Eric boy could.

Christophe grunted as the phone rang in his ear. It had been almost two days since he called Livius, but he had been busy on a mission. Only now was he on his way back home.
Back to Eric's home.
He dropped himself down on the front step, his shovel once more clipped to his back. A cigarette was placed in his mouth, entertaining him until Livius picked up.

Livius had just gotten off of his plane an hour ago and although he was tired and extremely confused about his surroundings, he didn't want to stop and rest. He wanted to find Christophe. He didn't understand America at all. It was so confusing to him. And everyone spoke so fast! He could barely understand anything he was hearing, only making out certain words. He had no clue where to go from here in order to find Christophe. Luckily, his phone rang at that moment. He smiled and picked it up.
"Christophe?" He spoke up. "Hello!" He grinned softly.

"Bonjour." Christophe moved a hand to his face, hiding the smile he had been unable to stop. Livius's voice was the best thing after a mission, even in his choppy english. "Tu me manques." It was rare to hear from him, but he felt like it had been ages since he had spoken to Livius.
He couldnt wait to go home to him, but he still had another month left of missions to fill.

"You can not be throwing another language into this. Two is 'ard enough." Livius grinned though because that was one of the few French phrases he knew. " 'Ow 'ave you been?"

"I'vee been beeter." It was undetectable in his voice but he had taken quite a few beatings in the last month. Guard dogs had gotten a hold of him once, not horribly bad, but bad enough Eric had pushed for him to get a rabis shot. Bruises to hell and back, a few scratches including a new one to his cheek. He had received that one last night, and had decided it did not need stitches. He planned on having Eric look at it once he was inside. Other than that he was tired, but he was always tired. "Can't wait to geet a f*cking breeak. Moi eez juzt going to ztop working for a week and lay up at 'our placee."
