Family Reunion.

"P-Payne!"  Piper was unable to do anything but stutter at the boy, completely knocked off guard by the way he had snapped.  His son never yelled at him.  If anything, Payne was the only person who always seemed to be on his side.  But now, over some guy the boy was willing to bare his teeth?
It made Piper's heart ache, but he was reaching out for his son anyways.
Someone passed him though.
It was that towering fucking giant, his legs so long that they brought him to Payne in only a few strides, faster than Piper ever could have been.
"Hey! Stop trying to get away from me you Payne in my ass!"  The werewolf immediately caught his lover, long but strong arms closing protectively around the boys shoulders.  This way Payne was tucked completely into his chest, feet even slightly leaving the ground as Andy lifted him into their embrace. "You can't run off with that kicked puppy look on your face! You know I can't handle that."  He craved Payne's smile even more than he craved his beloved junk foods. "Everything is going to be dandy, I promise you that, or my name's not Andy."  The gargantuan boy tried teasing, wanting so miserably to get a laugh, or even the tiniest of smiles.  He couldn't take  it when Payne was hurting.  He felt it to his very core.

"Shit, Andy, you can't do this." This was all he wanted, to relax here in Anderson's ridiculously long arms. He hated that he couldn't stay longer and enjoy it. Everyone was still watching, still thinking that their love was disgusting and wrong. "You heard my fucking dad, we can't do this anymore I guess."
Despite what he was saying, he was leaning into the man's chest further, clutching onto the man's shoulders tightly, wanting to pretend no one else was here.
"I love you though, okay? I'm sorry this shit happened."

Anderson thought his heart was going to fall into the pit of his stomach as Payne denied him, stating they couldn't 'do this' anymore.  Like it was that easy.  What else was he supposed to do? 
There was nothing else. 
All he had was Payne, and now his lover trying to let him go.  
Because it was wrong.
Or Piper thought so, anyways. But Anderson couldn't bring himself to feel the same.  He had loved Payne from nearly the moment he laid eyes on the boy.  What he knew now was supposed to change things but for him it didn't.
"Wh-What?  Payne you can't mean that! You know you don't..."  
But then his lover was was citing Piper's words, how they couldn't be together anymore. He'd never actually expected the words to feel so final when they hit him, but it was enough to have the giant completely doubling over as though all of his breath had been lost. 
"Don't you damn tell me you love me if you're planning to leave, you asshole! No, to hell with that! I fucking love you, and I wanted to- I dont know what I wanted but it wasnt this!" Despite his anguish, the young werewolf had yet to loosen his hold on Payne, truly unable to let his lover go.  
How could he?
"What do you want me to do without you? You are the pain in my ass that gets me up for school every morning! If not for you I wouldn't go to even half of my games because we both know what a lazy fucker I am.  And your practices, I look forward to those like I look forward to my ice cream at the end of the day!"  He hadn't realized that his voice was raising with his desperation. "Because of you I haven't been docked for touching the ball before time's called in months!"  That was a bad habit that always cost him to be penalized.  Payne never failed to tell him what an elementary mistake it was.  The boy had even taken to practicing with him, even though that was more an excuse just to spend time together.
And now he was supposed to lose all of that?
Anderson was getting tired of losing people.
Thats why when Piper finally snatched him backwards by the collar of his jersey, Anderson snapped at the man.  He swung as he'd promised himself he wouldnt do, catching Piper swiftly in his stomach and laying the man out in the grass.
"Get some." It was all he said, turning to look at Payne one more time with his welling lavender eyes before surging forward and back into the home.  He was ready to leave now.  Roman was alive, and he would be back.
But for now he needed to be gone.

"Shit, Andy, please don't fucking go!" Payne could not help but call out after his lover. He wanted the man to know that he felt the same, that he too did not want their relationship to be over, that he was only saying that because of his father and Roman. But even he knew he could not run after Andy while his father was laid out on the ground trying to catch his breath. He knelt beside the man, trying to ignore the tears brimming his eyes as he helped his father to his feet.
"Sorry, dad." He spoke quietly.

"Payne, don't be damned sorry."  Piper wheezed softly as he made it to his feet, reaching then to pull his son against his chest.  "I fucking understand that this was a mistake yo, but you also gotta understand that its not alright to keep on after the truth is out."  He'd never wanted his baby to take a boyfriend, but this was beyond terrible. Payne had been gushing about this boy as though he were in love already.
It couldn't be.
"I can't handle seeing his hands on you.  It's not like it would be if he was just some guy, yo.  He is your fucking grandfathers brother. Your mom's uncle. He can't also be with you."  Piper was sick to speak the words out loud.  He could only pray to god that this had prevented them from touching.  His baby was too innocent, too sweet and pure to have Anderson's disgusting hands on him.
"I'll give you time to sort this shit out but it needs to get dealt with, because I don't want to throw hands with that colossal fucker but we both know I will."  For his baby he would do anything.  
Anderson was saying his goodbyes to Roman and Zach inside by now, promising to return before stealing one last bite of Payne's ice cream cone that had amazingly made it into the freezer. The werewolf hoped that later, his lover would see he'd been there and think of him, even if that was all he did.  The giant had taken his time leaving though, long legs taking shorter strides in the hopes that Payne would stop him.
The boy never came.  He was still outside with his father, most likely assuring the man that they were over.
Over.

"You just... you should know it's not that fucking easy dad. Just because I found this out and you're telling me it's wrong doesn't erase how I felt about him... how I feel about him. It's so not that easy." Payne had never hurt like this before, Piper had always made sure of it. "You heard how I fucking talked to you about him... you know how it was. And now it's just... over? I can't just forget about everything this easily." He wanted to go after Andy, hoped that maybe someone would stop him from leaving so soon.
The man was family now, regardless of their relationship. The thought of seeing the man around and having to act like they were just family now was awful. He wasn't sure he could handle that.

"Of course I damn know how it is, yo!"  He'd listened intently everytime his son spoke of the giant lavender eyed boy who'd been escorting him to practices and dropping him off at home with an abundance of sweets and other goodies.  It had been weighing on his mind for some time now, how much Payne seemed to cling to this person, how he loved them.
He'd thought it made him sick to think about before, just because his baby was finally  growing up and falling into his first love. But now it was so much worse with the knowledge of who this person truly was.
Jace's uncle.
Piper suffered silently as a shudder of disgust wracked his spine. 
"I just....Like I said, I know you care about him and im giving you time to sort everything out." Piper wasn't going to cave this time though.  Payne might want this now but Piper was certain that later he would regret it. The man had to stop this before his baby began to be effected.
"Just don't you damn yell at me like that anymore. I'll fucking kill godzilla if he starts interfering with our relationship."  He pulled Payne flush against his chest, hold protective and even slightly possessive.  Payne was his sweet baby, even if he had lost all of his childhood pudginess by now. It terrified Piper to no end to have his son turn on him.  His heart couldnt take it.

"He didn't interfere with shit, dad. I was hurting and all you were doing was bitching in my ear about how disgusting it was as if I already didn't know." Payne grouched softly. He rarely got mad at his father but when he did, it was bad. He had one hell of a temper. "So when you say you're giving me time to sort everything out, that means I can have some time to end things? I can see him?" He sure as hell hoped that was what it meant. He didn't know if he could make it if he didn't at least get a goodbye kiss.

Piper flinched at the boys words, guilt immediately stirring around in his stomach, tightening his insides into knots. "Payne, you know I didn't..."  He hadn't really thought his son would be hurting.  The boy was still so young, it seemed impossible for him to already be suffering through his first love.  But now he understood, and he felt like a total failure of a father to have only made it worse while his baby was in pain.  He should've known. 
"Im sorry for the way I acted.  I guess I was more worried about your well being at the time, and thats wrong. I should have considered everything."  The man pulled Payne flush against his chest, clutching the boy almost desperately.  He could never handle his son being angry at him, and this was truly the first time it had ever happened.  
He'd do anything to earn the boys forgiveness. 
"So yeah, you can have some time to end things. You can go ahead and do that now, if you want to.  While he's still here yo."  
Piper sure as hell didn't ever want to see the giant back again.  Now would be the best time.

"I think I will." Payne nodded, hugging his father tightly before pulling back. "I am sorry for yelling I guess." He sighed before darting off inside and hoping Andy was not gone yet. "Hey, get the hell back in here." He grunted as he caught the man at the front door, yanking him back inside. "I didn't mean I was done with us... I just... everyone is expecting us to be over. I don't know what you want to do, Andy."

"I want to fucking take you home and mindlessly pig out on ice-cream like I had planned to this morning! Thats all I fucking want. To just- I guess go back to this morning before I was supposed to feel gross or disgusting for loving you like I do."  He was happy to have Roman back, grateful from the bottom of his very heart.  But the boy couldn't help but feel things would be easier if he never knew his brother was still alive.  He had finally been getting his life back on track after the fire, enrolled in college and playing ball, spending all of his days laughing like a complete idiot because he always had Payne around.  Even if he couldn't actually see the boy they were always in constant communication. 
And now all that was supposed to just end?  So immediate and suddenly.
He was supposed to lose Payne, too?
"I didn't ask for this.  I wanted Roman back but..But not at the expense of my Payne in the ass."  The giant swooped down again, desperate to hold his love for as long as possible before the boy deemed it time for him to go.  "This, with you...It's all that keeps me going.  And now it's burning away, too."  Andy always seemed to have that fire in the back of his mind, the wounds of losing his family always so fresh.

"I don't want to lose you either, Anderson. If I think about living without your dumb ass bringing me ice cream every day even though you eat it before you get here, I start feeling kind of sick. I loved you before and I love you now, that shit didn't change because it turns out we're related. It didn't just flip this switch and turn off all the feelings I have for you. I wish it worked like that but it doesn't. And it's supposed to be so fucking gross and wrong and disgusting but... I don't think it is. I don't think loving you is wrong and I really hope you feel the same. I wish shit didn't have to change, Andy. Because I don't give a shit who you are, I need you in my life." Payne sighed softly as he finished, nudging the man out of the front door so they could have a bit more privacy with no one inside looking at them. He wrapped his arms around the man then, drawing him closer for a hug.

Anderson was bowing in order to embrace the boy, his face hidden into the crook of Payne's neck.  He wasn't sure how to handle himself, all the words ringing around in his head and causing a sharp pain at his temples.  This was too hard.  It should never be like this between them.  Their love had always been so simple.  But now it was some sort of abomination. 
"I wish shit didn't have to change."
Those words are what struck Anderson the hardest.  It was Payne telling him that things did have to change, no matter how badly he wanted them to stay the same.  
It was Payne getting him ready for the fall.
Oh fuck no.
Andy would do anything to stop him.
"I...I could just stay away from here.  Act like today never happened..."  It would kill him inside, staying away even  knowing his brother was alive and so close.  But he was certain it would be worth it.  The only thing worse would be having to live without Payne.
He had already accepted his loss of Roman.
But not Payne.

"I can't let you do that, Andy. You just found your brother again. What if we... I don't know, what if we just don't stop seeing each other? I mean, fuck everybody else." Payne could not stop the words from coming out of his mouth. He knew his father would be pissed but he didn't want to think about a world without Andy and his big mouth.

The words seemed to pump relief throughout Anderson's entire being, and for a moment all he could do was nod excitedly and grasp at Payne's hands. He had been grateful for an answer to his prayers, a way to keep seeing his sugar lipped boyfriend.  Then though he was looking into the boys eyes, and suddenly Andy found himself frightened.  Payne had worn a look earlier of such hurt when Piper was going on about them and how disgusting they were, he never wanted to see that look on his lover again. If this happened though... 
"But....But what about you?  If we get caught wont you be in a lot of trouble for this?"  His voice was hesitant and slow with resistance.  He wanted to simply say yes and continue everything without a care. Anderson wanted to be selfish.  But Payne...the only thing sweeter than pure sugar.
It could make him suffer.
"I mean, your dad looked pissed as hell in there.  He was almost frothing at the mouth, I think. And I could tell that it was really hurting you.  You're a Payne in my ass but I never want to see you look so crushed ever again, damnit."

"Yeah, he's going to be really fucking pissed if he ever finds out. But what's he going to do? He can't keep me away from you unless I let him." Payne's words were firm even though he knew he'd rather not face his father's wrath. He didn't want to ruin his relationship with his father. But Andy...
He had no other choice. "It's not even that bad if you really think about it, you know... it's not like we're brothers." He hoped maybe Piper would eventually see it this way.

"Yeah...."  Anderson's face was still twisted with frustration, his hold tight on Payne as he struggled with himself.  It wasn't only Piper that he was worried about upsetting.
Roman.
He had just gotten his brother back.  What would happen if he went through with this and Roman found out?
What if he lost again, but this time it would be different.  Considering the look his brother had worn, this would be unforgivable.
Was it really worth all that?  For most of his life now he'd been praying and dreaming to see his family again.  He had that chance now.
But at what cost?
He couldn't lose Payne.  Above all else he didn't believe he could suffer through another heart break.  Despite his strength and size, and was weak in  his heart for his loved ones.  Seeing them go always took a chunk of him away, too.  He'd already lost his parents and his siblings, his very first love.  It was impossible for him to even stomach the thought of losing Payne too.
Everything was simply too damn complicated for the gargantuan boy, who hated any sort of strenuous effort. This was threatening to snap him in half.  No matter what he chose, it would be wrong.
So he might as well assure his happiness, while he had the chance.
"You're right Payne.  Fuck em.  Lets just keeping doing us like nothing else happened today, alright?"  Anderson had to keep it pushed to the very back of his mind to keep from getting the creeps once more.  It made his skin crawl to look at his love, his Payne in the ass and know the boy was truly his great nephew.
He had to forget.
"You can just keep it under wraps, and I guess I will too."  Piper had made it obvious that he knew all about their relationship.  Payne spoke if it often. "Does that sound dandy?  Can you handle that, ass ache?" He was trying to keep his words light and teasing, knowing that it truly would hurt the boy to keep things from his father.  Payne had always been close with the man, following his set rules and even bragging about him on occasion. 
Andy didn't want this to take such a thing away from him. He knew what it was to be without a father.

Even though it was just for a brief moment, Payne could smell the slight disgust on his lover. He glanced away then, shaking his head. He couldn't blame the man but he hated it. He just wished they could go back to not knowing they were related.
"Andy... if you're not comfortable with this anymore, I get it. Really." He reached out to take the man's hand in his own, squeezing softly. "I'm not gonna pretend it doesn't hurt but I get it. I can't blame you for not wanting to make out with your great nephew."

"Oh fuck, don't say that!" Anderson had to physically shake away the goosebumps that lined his arms.  It was hard enough simply knowing, to have it said allowed had the young werewolf's stomach churning.  It sounded so disgusting.
It was disgusting.  
But Anderson didn't want to think like that, not about Payne and the love they had shared.  He'd yet to even touch the boy and still, he felt as though they had already been that intimate.  How could he let go of a love so powerful and pure?
"Just, please don't say that shit. It sounds wrong.  What we have....It's never been like that.  It's...I thought we had a future.  I could never see my life without you in it and now even though you can still be around it wont be the same if I can't love you properly. Im selfish.  I want you entirely.  It'll just be like taunting me if I have to pretend that you're something else.

"I don't want to disgust you, Andy. I don't want to keep this going until one day you just decide you can't get past that." Payne swallowed hard as he came to the harsh realization that this may really be over. He didn't want to risk his relationship with his father, Andy's relationship with his brother, just so that he could watch Andy grow so disgusted with their love that they ended the relationship anyways. "I thought we had a future too but I guess we never accounted for this." A thought crossed his mind for a moment and he was immediately guilty about how selfish it had been.
For a brief moment he wished Zach had not brought Andy and Roman back together. Then they could still be blissfully ignorant to their relation to each other. "I love you, Dandy." He murmured softly as he averted his gaze.

"I...You don't..."  Anderson wanted to deny the boys words, find some way around them so that their love could survive this. 
But then his stomach was curling again, and Andy knew that he could not fight this any longer, no matter how much he might want to.  Payne could be right about him.  If it was bothering him so much now, how could he handle creeping around and hiding it from his brother? Especially when he knew in his heart now that it was wrong, and Roman would have every reason to hate him.
Fuck, he was caught. 
"Look at me, damnit."   Anderson reached out, one of his too-large hands coming to cup Payne's chin.  He guided the boy until there was no choice but to meet his lavender gaze. "Dandy loves you dearly, you Payne in my ass."  His other hand caught Payne's, slowly bringing it up, and even bending down himself so that the boy could press his palm where Anderson's heart lie, able to feel the heavy thudding under his touch. "That will never change."

Payne hooked his arms around the man's neck while he was bent down, pulling him in for a gentle kiss.
"I'm gonna fucking miss you, you know. I'm going to miss the Rocky Road ice cream you try to bring me every day, even if I never actually get to eat it." He gave a sad smile, this time not looking away from the soft lavender eyes. Yes, he would definitely miss those too. "If this is really... it, though, I want you to do something for me." He murmured, taking Anderson's face in his hands. "I want you to be my first. I don't want it to be anyone else, I always thought it would be you. I want that with you, before we end this."

"Payne....Damnit you are a pain."  Anderson exhaled heavily, his head once more falling to rest against the boys shoulder. "This shit is already so damn hard.  And now you want me to make love to you...Fuck, you're doing this on purpose."  The young werewolf's grip had tightened on Payne's hips, long arms moving to guide the boys legs around his waist before moving to brace his weight.  He often liked to hold Payne this way, chest to chest and lifting him so that they could see eye to eye.  It was easier to steal kisses that this.
But that wouldn't matter anymore after tonight.
The thought was startling enough to nearly have Anderson's knees give out on him, but the giant managed to catch himself at the last second.
"If I take you now, you know i'll want to do it again and again.  Your dandy man is selfish like that.  He's an addict for you I guess.  You remember the first time we kissed?"  Anderson had been so mesmerized and delighted that he'd started keeping count, always grinning so goofy and murmuring how many times their lips had met afterwards so that Payne would know, too.
So far they had shared nearly a million kisses.  
They were but a thousand short.
"Im like a junky for those kisses, I always have been.  If I make love to you here....I can't promise that i'll be able to stay away."

"It's okay. If you don't want to leave then, the problem's solved." Payne smiled softly at the man, pressing a gentle kiss to his lips. "I just want this. It's like... to say goodbye." He nodded firmly.
He never wanted to forget Andy. He needed the man to be the one to do this. It wouldn't feel as right with someone else. He wanted something to remember him by. "I won't make you. I just... really want it to be you."

"How can you set me up like this, dammit?"  Anderson's face had twisted wit anguish at the prospect of this being the first and only time he'd get to hold Payne in such a way  His bottom lip being tucked between his teeth as it so often was when the young werewolf was struggling, lavender eyes bright with distress and frustration. 
"Don't you ever say goodbye to me, you got that?  We arent....We wont ever be apart like that.  No matter what."  His large hands were bracing against the boys back to press him closer.  "Your dandy man can't take another goodbye.  Especially not from the only Payne in his ass that keeps him going every day." There was a pause then as Anderson considered their kiss, his lips forcing themselves up into a painstaking smile. 
"Nine hundred ninety-nine thousand."  This would kill him inside, but he wanted it too. He simply wished he could fully enjoy it.  Anderson could count kisses but he had no idea how many nights he had stayed away dreaming about this intimate time with Payne.
And now it had to be a fucking heart breaking affair.
Anderson almost wanted to be bitter, but he had nothing to direct his feelings to.  Zach had only been trying to help.
He would have if not for this life shattering truth that had been shared with him.
"If thats how you feel then lets do it tonight.  Lets make it to a million." The boys voice was hushed and nearly desperate, lips moving in once more to steal a kiss.
