Ignorance is Bliss

Quincy grabbed the boy up, shaking his ad as he walked over to the home, handing the boy to Dayton had jun what come outside.
"Hold em."
He returned to Perrys home as the man came out.

"No!" Cyrus growled, kicking his feet as he tried to get out of his father's grip.

Quincy and Perry stood there for a while, talking it seemed. In the end, Perry backed down as they both had known he would.
Quincy wasnt going to kill him.
But he had to move away.

"P-please daddy..." Cyrus's eyes filled up with tears for real this time.

"Cyrus! The man almost raped you baby!" Dayton was serious, he didnt like this, he couldnt live knowing his baby was not safe.

"But he DIDNT! He doesn't want to hurt me daddy! I've been over there every day and I'm fine!" He sniffled, trembling. "I was just starting to get him to talk to me and you're going to ruin it! Please!"

Dayton just didnt know what to do now...
"Sweat heart...He is dangerous..."

"Not to me though, daddy. He won't hurt me, I know he won't! If he does, grampa can kill him or whatever but please, just let me see him..."

Dayton cursed under his breath but he had to do something.
"Give it a month. Earn my trust, and promise you would tell me if he hurt you...Then we will see?"

"Okay daddy..." Cyrus nodded, clinging to the man tightly. "Thank you, thank you, thank you." Cyrus pressed kisses all over his father's face, hugging him.

Dayton nodded, though he was obviously not pleased about it.
"Welcome ...But still, remember what I said."

"I will, I promise daddy. Thank you so much!" Cyrus nodded furiously, bouncing in his father's arms.

Dayton just nodded, his gaze drifting over to his neighbor and his sons possible love interest.
They would see if he stuck around.
