The Vow Empty
PostSubject: The Vow   The Vow EmptyFri Apr 03, 2015 11:07 pm

“You know, I’ve never seen you this happy. Ever.” Zach shook his head, smiling over at his friend who had worn a light smirk himself until he’d been called out on it. They had been talking about their lovers and Zach had realized for the first time that Finn really did have a soft spot for Jesse. The boy got this sort of giddy look in his eyes when talking about the Alpha, it was kind of adorable. “It’s not a bad thing you know. You guys were meant for each other. I’ve never seen Jesse not be a dick for this long either.” Zach laughed softly as Finn merely glared at him. He then turned his eyes back to the road.
They’d gone out tonight just to have some fun since they hadn’t gotten to do something like this on their own in quite some time. They were currently on the drive home.
As they drank the night away at the club they had gone to, Zach had completely forgotten that there was supposed to be a snowstorm that evening.
Zach was quite a bit tipsy and probably should not be driving at all, but certainly not in the snow on the now icy roads.
He glanced away from the road one moment to grin over at Finn, only looking back when Finn shouted and pointed to something in the rearview mirror. Zach looked back just in time to see the truck spiraling towards them, out of control.
The two of them were thrown forward out of their seats, through the windshield altogether.
And then everything went black.

Jesse immediately knew something happened of course, able to feel it in his very core. He and Roman had merely been lounging around on his couch, waiting for their lover's to get home when he felt it.
And this was how the two wolves found themselves out trudging through the snow in nothing but normal, everyday clothes, not having time to bundle up in their haste to get to their mates.

Roman was nearly rabid with panic. He had absolutely no clue what might have happened, but he knew it was terrible. He had been sitting with Jesse. Everything had been normal. And then the pain started, the worst of his life, as if something were closing on his chest, snapping ribs and cutting off air. He immediately knew it was Zach. There as nothing like the feeling of his connection with his mate, nothing so strong.
"Fuck, Jess." He could smell blood, thick and fresh despite the wind snow whipping around them. The large wolf could hear nothing over the sound of Zach's heart beating. So slow and uncertain. It only did more to drive him forward through the snow, determined to get to the boy before it as too late.

"They're going to be okay." Jesse growled softly, though he wasn't sure if he was trying to convince Roman or himself. "They have to be." It was another ten minutes before they came across Zach's car, crashed on the side of the road.
As they got closer, they could see the two boys lying in the snow, surrounded by the shattered glass of the windshield. Zach was strewn atop of Finn. He looked relatively unharmed apart from the slightly blue color of his lips, but when you took a closer look, his dreads were even rattier than usual, matted with blood, as most of the damage was trauma to his head.
When they finally arrived at the wreckage, Jesse's first instinct was to merely throw Zach off of his lover to bring the boy into his arms. But even in his stress, he merely knelt beside the two boys, waiting to allow Roman to lift his mate first.

Roman stumbled over as though he were in a daze, a alarmed whine leaving him as he dropped down beside the wreckage. Honestly he was afraid to touch Zach, afraid that he would be to rough and cause the boy more harm than good. "Zach?" The large beta whispered softly, hesitantly reaching to smooth some of the matted dreads back from Zach's face, only to feel his stomach drop when his fingers came back sticky and warm with the boys blood. "Fuck. Come on baby, lets get you home." Roman was trying to keep himself calm, talking to his mate as if the damaged boy could hear him while he slid his shirt off. Gently, with more care than he'd ever managed, Roman wrapped on arm around Zach's legs, his other moving to support the boys head as he shifted over so that he could rest Zach against his chest.
"Its alright Zachariah. It's going to be alright." Roman was still murmuring as he wrapped the boy up in his shirt, balling it up extra at Zach's head in an attempt to staunch the heavy flow of blood. He only allowed himself to glance over to Jesse and Finn after he was certain he had Zach completely bundled up against his chest. Finn didn't look quite as cold as Zach had, maybe because Zach had been blocking him from the fierce winds and snow. But he did seem to have road rash, as though he'd slid across the gravel after the crash. It was all along his front, only ending after it had cut back into his hair line, taking all the hair that had once been there with it.
"Come on Jesse, lets hurry. The longer they sit in the cold the worse it'll be." Roman was talking again. He'd by now stood himself up, and was currently sifting through the wreckage in an attempt to find his leather jacket. He knew his mate had taken it. Zach took it everywhere. Now if he could only find it for the boy.

Jesse had cringed as he finally set his eyes on his lover. He slid his arms gently under the boy's body until he could safely scoop him up and into his arms, hoping he did not disturb the road rash even further.
"Shit, you're going to be okay, baby." He grimaced as he stood himself up, looking to Roman. "Come on, let's go." He nodded before trudging in the direction of his home, attempting to keep Finn as warm as possible by keeping him wrapped up in his arms.

Roman had already caught the scent of his jacket when Jesse spoke, in fact he was reaching into the wrecked remains of Zach's car, pushing aside snow, glass and twisted metal until finally his fingers brushed the shredded leather. The large wolf pulled it free and knocked all the debris off of it. He knew that his mate would be wanting it when he woke up, even if it was a little worse for wear.
"Im coming." Roman grunted as he tucked the jacket around Zach, bundling the boy up tightly so he might retain some sort of warmth on the run back home.

Jesse kept Finn pressed close to him as he ran towards his own home, not bothering to make sure Roman was behind him. He knew the man could keep up. For the first time in his life, he found himself praying under his breath that his mate would be okay. He could still feel Finn's heart beating but it was definitely slower than it should be.
In only minutes he had made it into the house, out of breath as he merely hoped Law was home and able to help them.
Jace was already on his feet, standing by the door with Stein by his side. He had been able to smell blood on his mother and had informed Stein, then merely waiting for his father to return.

Stein had already called Trever Murdock. He'd done it the moment Jace had alerted him that something was wrong. He knew that there was no one else his mother would want to care for him. Zach simply seemed most comfortable with Trever, and so by the time Roman made it back home with Zach clutched to his chest, Trever was already there. Roman barely had time to get through the door before Trever was pulling Zach out of his arms, whisking his mate away to Law's work room without saying a word. And Roman? He was so stunned with all the blood staining his front to argue. If Trever would help, by God it was accepted.
Law was waiting for Jesse and Finn in his work room, leaning against the door frame and watching a moment to access the damages.
"Cold out, isn't it oui." The dark skinned wolf gestured to two metal tables they'd set up in preparation for the boys. "Pick your poison."

Jesse rushed to gently lay Finn on one of the tables, looking to Law with a desperation in his eyes that he'd never had before.
"Please just tell me he'll be okay." He stepped back, watching nervously and only hoping that Law would be able to do something. He trusted Law completely with his mate.
He didn't even glance back when Zach was carried into the room and laid out on the other table. Sure, he cared for Zach and Roman was his best friend. But the other couple was the last thing on his mind right now, his eyes locked on Finn instead.

Roman was hot on Trever's trail, moving to stand in the doorway and watch so that he didn't get into the mans way. Trever went straight to work, carefully laying Zach down before began his assessment of the boys wounds. He paid special attention to his dreads, his eyebrows furrowed deeply as he considered the possibility that he may have to shave them away. Most of the damage and trauma seemed to be on his head, and it was impossible for his to work with the boys dread locks in the way. It pained him though, being he knew how much Zach adored his hair.
"I'm working on it, oui." Law was calm and level, waving a hand at Jesse almost as if to dismiss his worry. The lanky wolf was easily slipping past Trever at every turn, never jarring him or Zach as he moved about the room.
"How fucking long was he in the snow?" Trever was glaring over at Roman, as though blaming him for the blue tinting Zach's lips.

Jace had found his way into the room and pressed himself into his father's side, knowing he would need the comfort.
"He went to get him as soon as he felt it happen." Jace informed Trever with slightly narrowed eyes. He had never liked Trever much and was always ready to defend his father. He didn't like the way the man seemed to be accusing Roman of not getting there quickly enough. "He can't have been out there for more than a few minutes. It was just really damn cold." He folded his arms across his chest stubbornly.
Jesse did not appear to be listening at all from his spot in the corner, eyes glued to the slow rise and fall of his mate's chest.

Trever simply ignored the boy as he often did, knowing Jace disliked him. The boy was Zach's baby though, so instead of returning the negative feelings he let them go. Besides, Zach was much more important. By now he had gathered more blankets to tuck around the boys battered frame as he worked on getting his clippers ready. Zach's hair had to go, so he could stop the bleeding at his head. The man leaned down, his lips bushing against Zach's ear as he whispered. "I'm sorry sweetheart." With that said, he started shaving away at the boys dreads, cringing with everyone that hit the floor.
Stein had slipped into the room by now, and had taken up Zach's other side. He and Trever were on good terms. Stein had always liked him because Zach did, and Trever respected that the boy had taken after Zach in the medical aspect. While he was there Stein was rigging up different machines at Trever's order, all the while stroking his mothers cheek with his mechanical hand.
Roman had wrapped Jace in his arms, so tightly he was almost afraid he would hurt the boy. But he couldn't help it, seeing Zach laying on that table was too much for him to handle. His lover looked so tiny and fragile. His Zach should never look like that. The boy was always so full of life, with his doe eyes and sly smiles. The thoughts brought another wave of pain radiating through Roman's chest. He hadn't even been able to reply to Trever, and now he could only be thankful that he still had Jace there with him.
"Thank you." He whispered softly into the crown of the boys head, his eyes never leaving his lovers face.
Law seemed preoccupied with a deep gash that started at Finn's left eyebrow and trailed all the way back into his hairline, disappearing there where it got worse around his temple. There could be swelling, and swelling could mean anything. Law decided the best thing to do would be to shave the hair away from the wound and start with X-rays, just as Trever and Stein were doing.

Jace reached up to stroke his fingers through his father's hair, hugging him tightly and merely watching his mother while Trever worked on him.
Someone had just thought to inform Cameron of what had happened and the boy was now rushing into room, livid that he was what seemed like the last one to know that his mother was possibly on his deathbed. He moved to one of Finn's sides, making an effort to stay out of the way while still taking the man's hand. Somehow, even though he knew Jesse had nothing to do with it, he felt hatred towards the Alpha. If only his parents were still together, this wouldn't have happened somehow. His father would never have let this happen.
"Momma... You've got to be okay." He spoke softly under his breath, leaning his forehead against the man's arm. "You're all I've got, you have to stay with me..."
Jesse still stood in the corner, watching. It was as if he were in shock. He couldn't move, no matter how much he felt he should be comforting the young boy. He could only tremble in the fear of losing his mate. The boy looked so fragile like this. Even though he was so small, Finn never looked so easy to break before.

Trever was almost done with Zach's entire head. The boy seemed as though he had taken most of the blunt trauma to the skull, and it worried Trever more than he cared to admit. Stein had already set the X-ray machine's up, so it didn't take them long to get the images they needed. There was plenty of swelling and deep gashes, mainly in the lobe of his brain that stored shorter term memory.
While Trever looked at the pictures and decided what course of action to take, Stein was caressing his mothers cheek. He hoped that maybe Zach would recognize his touch, especially the cold metal of his mechanical arm, and maybe know he wasn't alone.
Roman wanted to be strong for his children, but he couldn't find it in himself when not even he was sure that Zach was going to be okay. His mate had never looked so breakable. And the blood was everywhere, even still staining him from their trip home, constantly reminding him of how real this was.
Law found himself actually feeling bad for Cameron, his mouth set into a crooked frown as he listened to the boy. "Hey, it'll be fine, oui. Don't worry so bad. I'll tell you when you need to worry." Even though he was working alone, Law was keeping pace with Trever and Stein. He too had already taken his necessary X-ray's and by now he had began treating Finn's injuries. Every once in a while he would glance up to his alpha, feeling the instinct at the mans beta to comfort him. Law knew it was impossible though. He'd been through the pain of losing his mate, and understood that there was no cure.

"You think he'll be alright?" Cameron questioned gently. He didn't mind Law, not like he minded most of the others. And he appreciated the man taking the time to comfort him. He sure as hell hoped his mother would be okay because he had no clue what he would do without him.

Jace had moved forward, dragging Roman with him until he could hold his father's hand with one of his own, and Stein's free hand in his other. He was not sure if his mother would be okay, but the one thing he did know was that they would all need each other through this.

"Sure kid. He is still breathing on his own. Thats a really good sign with the head injury, oui." Law was always blunt, but he still found himself trying to soften things up for Cameron. "And everything else will heal. It's all going to work itself out." His eyes stayed trained on his hands, were he worked steadily to cleanse wounds and patch them up, but he continued to speak. "Do you want to talk to Jesse, oui? See how he's holding up?" Law was unaware of Cameron's dislike of the alpha. He was only attempting to help.

Stein glanced back at his brother, offering the boy a reassuring smile. "Hey Jace." It was a soft greeting, almost unusual for the normally stoic boy. "There's nothing to worry about. Mom's going to be okay." Gently his squeezed his brothers hand, nodding over to Trever. "He's really good. Mom likes him, and I approve. So don't be nervous."
While they spoke, Roman moved closer so he could rest a large trembling hand against Zach's neck, leeching the pain and praying for he boys well being. He had no life if he lost his mate. Even with his children, nothing would ever he right again. Life had no meaning if Zach wasn't in it.

"Not really." Cameron spoke simply but deep down, he knew his mother would want someone to be comforting Jesse. And so he silently moved to stand beside the Alpha, taking his hand gently. Only for Finn.

"I believe you." Jace smiled softly at his brother, kissing his cheek. "But just because I trust you, not him." He shook his head lightly. Trever upset his daddy and that meant he could not be good. He trusted Stein's medical expertise though and if he said Zach was going to be okay, then it must be true.

Several hours later, Law and Trever had finished and were now simply waiting for the boys to wake up. Law had gone for a cigarette break, and Trever had still refused to leave Zachs side. He was constantly hovering over the boy, hoping to be the first thing he saw when he opened his eyes. Roman was at the boys other side, still leeching while he watched the slow rise and fall of his mates chest.

Jesse and Cameron were on either of Finn's sides as well, Cameron's head resting against his mother's arm. He was murmuring softly under his breath, something that no one could hear, something only meant for Finn's ears.
The room was silent other than the soft breathing of the men waiting for their loved ones to wake.
It was Zach whose eyes twitched first. A soft groan passed his parted lips as he blinked his eyes open. Still slightly dazed, he did not register Roman beside him, only seeing Trever's face hovering above him.
"Trever." He smiled softly. "I feel like fucking shit, what did you do to me?" He whined then, trying to focus his gaze on the other man.

"Oh, thank God you're okay." Trever let out a deep sigh of relief, unable to keep himself from grinning. "At first I wasn't sure how much damage was done to your brain, but you seem to be alright." He was getting ready to ask the boy a few questions, just to make sure he was completely functional when Roman lurched forward. The burly werewolf had tears clouding his eyes as he moved to drop a kiss into Zach's lips, his hands careful as they wrapped around his waist. "Oh Zachariah. I was so scared. Don't you ever do that to me again." The man whimpered, not bothered by the fact that Trever was still there, watching him. The mad man always had a certain glint in his eyes when he looked at Roman, a constant jealousy because the werewolf had what he'd always wanted.

"Ngh....Cameron?" Finn could hear his son's voice, soft and welcoming against the constant drilling pain in his temple. "What the fuck?" His eyelids fluttered open, and a groan left him at how the brightness of the room burned into his eyes. "Marilyn?" He felt Jesse on his other side, but he couldn't see, and all he wanted was Jeremy. In his disorientation, he didn't realize the man was much to big to be his Marilyn. "Jeremy? What in the mother fucking shit happened to me?"

Zach had been about to ask Trever what he meant about brain damage when he was taken off guard by this strange man crying on him. The guy was absolutely gorgeous and while Zach wasn't about to complain about being kissed by him, he figured he should probably figure out what the hell was going on. When Roman pulled back, he turned his gaze back to Trever, blinking several times to clear his head.
"Okay, so, what happened to me? You said brain damage?" He questioned. "Is it the type of brain damage that would make me hallucinate handsome strangers kissing me? Because that is the most likely explanation for what is happening right now." His eyes moved to scan back over Roman as if he were not truly there, really was merely a figment of his imagination.

"Oh thank God, momma." Cameron had buried his face into the crook of his mother's neck without hesitation, barely even registering his father's name until a moment later. "Mom.. dad's not here, remember?" He was hoping he was merely dazed after waking up after the accident.
"Finn? Sweetheart, you're okay." Tears blurred the Alpha's eyes as he leaned in and showered Finn's face in gentle kisses so he wouldn't hurt him. He didn't even register being called the wrong name. It started with a J, it was close enough for him in his distressed state.

"Stranger?" Roman chuckled as though Zach were merely teasing him. And if not, he passed it off as disorientation from waking after the crash. Either way, he wasn't thinking what Trever was thinking while he watched the boy. Zach's eyes weren't lighting on Roman as they usually did, and for the life of him he was still acting as though this had been some sort of experiment, as they used to do back at his home when Zach was still his apprentice.
"Zach, let me ask you something." Trever's voice was soft when he spoke to his former apprentice, showing the love his still held for Zach. "Do you know who this is?" He gestured to Roman, who was still simply trying to cradle his mate. "At all? Can you give me a name? Can you give me your name?"
Stein had gone downstairs in the hopes of patching Roman's leather jacket up so he could present it to his mother when the boy awoke. He had just finished the last stitch when he heard Zach's voice. The relief was enough to relax his entire body, leaving him almost giddy, a feeling he hadn't experienced since childhood.
"Mom!" Stein wasted no time slipping back into the room, moving to appear at his mother's side next to Roman. "Look, I fixed dad's jacket, er, actually kinda your jacket now." He was laughing, still overjoyed with the thought that his mother was fine. Completely okay.
Trever cleared his throat softly, reaching out to rest a hand on Stein's shoulder. "Give him some room kid. We're uh....Doing another test."

Finn was disoriented, and woozy, but he knew without a doubt that it was not Jeremy kissing him. Jeremy's lips never quite landed that way. And the stubble? His lover was always clean faced, in fact, Morgue hardly had any body hair aside from the long platinum blonde adorning his head. The realization was explosive and sickening. This was not his lover. Snapping his eyes open to finally see the man, Finn understood he was a stranger completely. He immediately seized his arm, drawing back only to slam his elbow down between Jesse's eyes in an attempt to knock the alpha away from him. "Who the fuck are you? What in the holy hell were you mother fucking doing just now? We're you kissing me? Because i'll fucking tear your dick off if you try that shit again, fuck face." The boy's eyes were wild with alarm and confusion, flickering over to Cameron in the hopes that his son could shed some light on the situation.
"Where in the holy fuck is your father? Why isn't his fucking ass here?" Finn actually looked hurt by the thought that Jeremy wasn't there with him, where ever he was. Since when did Jeremy leave him alone when he was sick in any way? The fucker was always trying to coddle him. So where in the fuck was he now? "And what in the hell were you doing letting that fucking freak touch me? Do you fucking know him? Is he clean? That bitch could have fucking herpes and you let his ass slobber on me! "

"Did he just call me mom?" Zach blinked, distracted from Trever's questions by Stein's appearance in the room. He stared at the boy for a moment before glancing back to Trever. "My name is Zach, asshole. And of course I don't know his name, who the hell is he? He's not a hallucination if you can see him too..." Zach frowned lightly, looking to Roman and slightly uncomfortable with the man's hands on him now that he knew it was a real person. "Is he a friend of Rhett's?" He looked like someone Trever's brother might associate with. He moved away from Roman's hands and the second they weren't touching anymore, a hot flash of pain ran through his skull. He cried out, reaching up to place his hands on the source of the pain. It was then that he realized his hair was gone. "Trever... my hair..." He looked utterly devastated. "Trever, whatever experiment we're doing, please stop. I don't like it..." There was a certain vulnerability in his voice. He sounded weak, almost afraid, in a way that Roman would have never heard him sound before. But at the point in his life he was remembering, when he was only a teenager living under Trever's control, he had not yet developed into the confident man he was today who loved Roman more than anything. To this Zach, Trever was his entire world and he would agree to participate in any experiment the man wanted. But this feeling, having no clue what was going on, it terrified him and he wanted it to stop.

"Finn calm down, please!" Jesse begged, now realizing what was happening. Well, he thought he knew what was happening. He assumed Finn was merely dazed after the crash, was caught up in thoughts of his former lover. He would never have thought that Finn truly had no clue who he was.
"Momma?" Creases appeared on Cameron's forehead as he tried to figure out what his mother was talking about. "It's Jesse. Calm down, you were in a car crash, you're not thinking straight. That's Jesse, your boyfriend, remember? You... you haven't seen dad for years now. You left him, you know that. Just relax and think."

Trever's stomach lurched at the fear that rattled the boys voice. He hadn't heard Zach sound like that since...Since he was just a teenager, living under him as an apprentice and friend. It was the little boy he took in and loved. "Zach, listen to me, alright?" He wasn't sure how extensive the damages were, what Zach had retained and what he had lost. "What's the last thing you remember? Just tell me that, think really hard on it."
Stein had fallen back at the sound of his mothers voice. It rattled him, had his heart pounding in his ears again. His mother was strong. Sometimes even stronger than his father. He couldn't fathom what would be so horrible to scare Zach so badly. So he stayed back, not wanting to make it worse. But he was never out of reach, just in case his mother needed him.
Roman acted as though his mate had struck him by pushing his hands away, able to sense the boys discomfort. Since when did Zach not welcome his touch? Or look at him like...like that, like he was some stranger, someone who could potentially hurt him.
"Zachariah? Sweetheart, don't you remember me? O-" He didn't get to finish. Trever was shoving him back, growling that he was only going to make things worse by pestering the boy. "Stand the fuck back, alright? Don't say anything. Let me talk." He lifted a hand to silence anything the werewolf may say other wise, his gaze warning that he was right.
Roman had no choice but to relent, falling back to stand beside Stein, an arm around his sons shoulders as he began to pray.
Trever made his way back over to Zach, pulling up a stool and offering the boy a reassuring smile. "You know i'd never hurt you like this. Especially your hair. I always loved your hair." He was trying to coax the boy into relaxing, knowing everything would go more smoothly if Zach was calm and comfortable. "You had a car accident with Finn. You have a lot of swelling on your brain, and it seems like its caused some damage in your cerebral cortex." Trever explained gently, offering his hand out for Zach to hold. "Your safe now though, and im going to get you better. I just need you to answer my questions, in as much detail as you can, alright?"

"Fucking bull shit!" Finn was glaring at Cameron as though the boy had offended him by saying something so absurd. Boyfriend? Haven't seen Jeremy for years? Left him? "I call mother fucking bullshit. I don't know that bitch!" He pointed an accusing finger at Jesse, his upper lip curled into a hateful scowl. "And I've never even fucking gone more than three days without seeing your shit faced father. So stop spouting that fucking shit Cameron, I-I don't fucking like it." It was alarming to think Cameron would say such things, his son had never been a liar. But there was no other explanation for this. He would never leave Jeremy. He couldn't. He loved his creepy fucking Marilyn Manson rip off more than anything. "Jeremy is going to get his fucking teeth kicked into his throat. Where is he? I was in an car crash and his deep throating ass isn't here?" Finn blinked in distress at the thought. Why wasn't Marilyn here with him? "I'll fucking give him something to swallow. Where's my mother fucking phone? Im giving that mother fucker a piece of my mind."
Law soon appeared in the doorway, having taken a few more puffs from his cigarette before following the sounds of Finn's snarling back into the room. "What in the hell, oui? What did you guys do?" He was used to Finn being a bitch. He merely assumed Jesse had said something to piss him off.

Zach took the hand Trever offered him, pulling the man in closer.
"The last thing I remember... that's hard." He was just realizing he couldn't seem to think. It was hard to remember. "Well I don't remember the car crash you're talking about. Is Finn okay?" He glanced over, now noticing Finn on the other table. He was thankful to see another familiar face. "I think the last thing I remember is being in your work room. Uh..." He struggled to think of more details for the man. Trever seemed serious and he wanted to answer his questions the best he could. It was hard though. "I'm guessing it wasn't just yesterday but whatever day it was... it was a nice day. You brought people over. Barry, Blaine, Rhett, Killian." He smiled softly at this. He enjoyed Trever's family, especially Killian. "We all had dinner together. Then when they left you put Toni to sleep and we worked..." He clenched his eyes shut trying to think of what they had worked on. "You let me inject one of the bitches with a virius." He recalled, nodding fondly. "I was supposed to stay with him all night and observe the effects... but I fell asleep." He frowned as he recalled, looking as if Trever might be upset with him for falling asleep instead of finishing his job. "I'm sorry." He didn't know he was apologizing for something that had happened years ago now. "Now can I know who these people are?" He sighed heavily. "My head hurts."

"You can't call him, mom." Cameron's eyes were wide on his mother. He knew his father would be devastated to hear it. "Momma you've got to look at me. You know I wouldn't lie to you." He took the risk of taking his mother's face into his hands, trusting that Finn would never physically harm him. "You're not thinking right, you're out of it. No one thought you'd ever leave dad either but you did. You're with Jesse now. And..." Cameron sighed out this last part, continuing. "I hate his guts but you seem to really love him. Even more than you loved dad. You've just got to concentrate. Look at him and you'll remember." He nudged his lover as Jesse, still in shock, merely stared at Law wide eyed.
"Something's wrong with him." He shook his head. "He's saying he doesn't know who I am. Law, what the hell is wrong with him?" He sounded as if he were pleading with the man.
