"Fineh! Whip mah arse! Ah don't care! Ah'm gonna kill hem! Et was one thing ta piss meh off all tha time and take everything from meh! But now heh's fuckin' weth Misereh's happiness and ah'm not gonna let that happen." Cove said simply.

"Coveh! Miseryeh knew what heh was doin! Heh es jus ah whore!" Rhett's jaw ached, still his teeth stayed bared. "Ya know somethin' Coveh. If ya care soh much abou' Misereh, why don' ya ave em? Ya need to stop fighting over em if ya ave ah lover of yar own. Either leave Misereh ta Kelleh and goh home ta Leon, er goh ave yar fight' with Kelleh, ah'll kill Misereh, an beat tha 'ell out of ya."

Cove stared at his father for a moment before shaking his head.
"Ah shouldn't have even told ya.... Ah shoulda known. Cause now that ya have yar precious Kelleh, ah don't mean shit, doh ah?" He frowned deeply. "Soh how about thes? Ah goh tha hell home weth Leon and ya never speak ah word ta meh again. Ah'll leave yar precious Kelleh alone." He shook his head, ignoring the wetness in his eyes as he stormed from the home, not stopping for a second.

Rhett let him go, too stunned by his son's words to even move. He had just not wanted them fighting. They were his babies and he knew that Cove could hurt Kelly. Cove was older, stronger, and highly pissed off. He would have hurt Kelly and Rhett couldn't have that. He had not been trying to take one side over the other. He just wanted Cove to stop wanting to beat Kelly up.
And now his son had left him.
Rhett, though he knew Cove was only mad, could not stop the tears welling in his eyes. Even though he pressed his palms into his eyes, he could feel the stinging, and the wetness as tears slipped down his cheeks.
"F*ck."

And Cove found himself doing the same, the tears trailing down his cheeks as he made his way out into the night alone. He couldn't stop the tears and he knew he needed someone right now...
He could always go home to Leon but Leon never knew how to handle him when he was upset. The boy would get so flustered and end up in tears himself.
Misery? He had his own problems to deal with right now.
Briley...
He needed his best friend.
So that was how he found himself slumped against his best friend's door at three in the morning, sobbing pitifully.

The porch light flicked on as Briley got to the door. He had been in bed with Brynn, but he had hear noises and Briley never felt easy unless he checked it out to make sure nothing was around to danger his family. At seeing Cove behind his door he forced it open further, dropping to his knees in order to gather Cove into his arms. It was pure instinct, Cove was hurting and he needed to make it stop. He needed to make Cove safe, and so he found himself wrapping Cove up in a tight embrace, his strong arms promising to keep the other from all harm.
"Shhh, Cove what is it? Are you okay? Baby please talk to me." His words rushed out of him, almost so fast they didn't make sense. He couldn't help it though, to see Cove in tears had his heart hammering in his chest, his stomach contracting in fear. "Please." Briley's lips were pressed to Cove's temple as he held him. "Please be okay."

"Ah'll beh fine..." Cove let himself sob into Briley's shoulder, not even sure why he was still bawling so hard. Cove wrapped his arms around Briley's waist, hugging him close. "Ah just... ah needed somewhere ta goh... Leon can't see meh like thes.."

Briley clutched Cove tightly, lifting him up as he stood. "Well. You got me. Lets get out of the dark." Briley mumbled to himself as he brought Cove into his home, sitting down on the couch with his former lover pressed tightly to his chest.
"Are you really okay?"

"Ah don't know..." Cove sighed into his former lover's chest. "Ah just... ah was soh pissed at Kelleh and dad kept makin' meh feel like ah was tha wrong one. And heh always does that weth Kelleh... Kelleh can doh no wrong. And heh doesn't realize that Kelleh's tryin' ta take everything from meh... soh ah told dad ah didn't want hem ta speak ta meh anymore and ah left and ah just don't know what ta doh anymore." His sentences rambled on as he tried to speak through his tears, attempting to force himself to stop.

"You told your dad not to talk to you anymore?" Briley gaped lightly at his friend, his arms only constricting tighter around Cove. He knew something must be wrong. Cove and Rhett had always been so close, he knew that Cove loved his father. Briley took a deep breath, going over everything Cove had said in his mind before he spoke. As he did so he did it very carefully, very sincere.
"Kelly wont ever take me away from you."
Nothing could.

Cove gave his friend a soft smile as he hugged him tight.
"Thank ya Brileh... ah think that's why ah came here. Ah know ya'll be there far meh." He sighed. "Kelleh screwed Misereh... and et's killin' meh. Misereh esn't mineh anymore but ah just hate knowing that Kelleh got hem..."

Briley took the information in, clicking his tongue as he thought about it. "Whats the big deal? Kelly can have Misery, you got me." Briley never understood Cove and Misery. Originally he had thought that Cove just liked having sex with Misery but then his friend always seemed to have Misery on his mind. Briley realized there was something more but he simply didn't know what.

"Et's just tha fact that Misereh realleh seemed ta like hem... and Kelleh es just usin' hem ta piss meh off." Cove growled. "And ah guess ah'm upset that Misereh realleh does like hem... liked hem enough ta cheat on Carter weth hem..."

"So, your saying your jealous." Briley smiled lightly, he had always loved when Cove showed any jealousy over him. "And Kelly is out to get you...And Misery is just a whore." The man pressed a kiss to Cove's temple. "Either way, I think that Misery loves you and I think that you love Misery and I think that Kelly can take a hike."

Cove grinned at his friend.
"And thes es why yar mah best friend." Cove chuckled. That was what he wanted to hear, not how Kelly probably wasn't doing it just to piss him off. He wanted someone to agree with him and tell him that Kelly was an arse. "Ah love ya." He sighed, pecking his friend's cheek.

"I love you too. And if you want we can start a we hate Kelly Braxton club." Briley cracked a wide smile, pleased to be making his friend feel better. "Ill beat the hell out that boy if he keeps messing with you. And you can watch me do it."

"Ah wanna beat hem mahself." Cove chuckled. "Ah like tha idea of tha club." Cove grinned at his friend, leaning into his chest.

Briley chuckled softly, one of his hands running over Cove's hair. "So, you staying over here tonight?"

"Ef ets okay weth yar Brynn." Cove nodded his head, pressing closer to Briley.

"Do you need to go get Leon or is he fine wherever he is?" Briley always thought of Leon, even though he didn't care for the boy, he was special to Cove and that was all that mattered.

"heh es weth he's parents so hehs fine but ah guess ah should call hem ta let hem know." He nodded his head.

Briley nodded, handing Cove his home phone before trudging off to the bedroom so he could put on some night pants. He knew Brynn would not approve of him walking around in front of Cove in nothing but his boxers.

Cove picked up the phone, dialing his lover's number and waiting as he watched Briley walk off, just hoping Leon wasn't too worried already.

The boy was, of course he was. He was sitting in the middle of his room just holding his phone and his camera. He had not wanted to let the device out of his site just in case Cove called. He worried when Cove stayed gone long, ever since Briley it always had him second guessing himself and Cove's love for him but he never told Cove. He didn't like to bring it up, and he didn't like to see the guilt in his lovers eyes. As the phone rang his heart jumped into his throat, his hands trembling as he fumbled to answer his phone.
"Hello? Cove?"

"Helloh sweetheart. Ah'm sorry ah haven't called ya. Ah got inta ah fight weth mah dad." Cove sighed. "Ah'm not feelin' too well so ah'm at Brileh's far tha night. Don't worreh though, Brynn's here, ah'm not doin' anything bad. Ah promise, love." Cove smiled softly at the sound of his lover's voice.
