"Where is he?" Killian pondered on, rather pleased that Barry had answered him instead of just pushing him off.

"He's gone." Barry said simply. "We're not together anymore." He answered the boy, stroking the soft black hair.

"How come? Ya sound like ya miss em." Killian nodded, his child like understanding shining through. "If ya love em ya should beh weth em!" He did not understand how complicated things could be. He sounded so very hopeful for someone like Barry to be happy, but as the child he was he wanted everyone to be happy.

"I do miss him but I can't be with him anymore." He sighed softly. "You look like him." He noted, nodding his head at the boy.

"How comeh?" Killian asked though his eyes were dropping shut as he curled closer to Barry, his breathing slowly evening out as he allowed sleep to take him.

Barry smiled softly down at the boy as he fell asleep, pressing the child to him. He really did miss Trever sometimes... this child was perfect to help him with that. He let himself doze off eventually, nuzzling Killian's neck.

Killian was up early the next morning, his eyes wide open as he gently poked at Barry. He was not sure if Barry would be violent upon being woken up or not, and he did not want to push that, but he was bored. As a four year old boredom won out with everything.
"Sir, det up!" He could not remember the mans name.

Barry slept like the dead so it took the boy quite a while to get him up. He groaned when he did.
"It's too early Killian."

"But I ish bored! An hungreh!" Killian moved to lay atop Barry's chest, smiling down at the man in his childish way. "Tome on!"

Barry smiled tiredly at the child, sitting up and taking him in his arms.
"So what do you want to do today? We can have some breakfast first." He nodded.

"Huh?" Killian's eyes were wide, no one had ever asked him what he wanted to do. And sadly enough his butt hurt too much for him to truly want to do anything. "Ah can pick?"

"Yeah, whatever you want." Barry nodded, picking the boy up and carrying him out to the kitchen where he poured him a bowl of fruity pebbles.

Killian sat, leaned over to one side as not to hurt his sore entrance as he bounced around, his feet kicking under him.
"Hey Sir, fank ya." He nodded his head as he spooned a bite of fruity pebbles into his mouth.

Barry smiled softly at the child as he watched him, nodding his head.
"You're welcome kiddo. You can call me Barry by the way."

Killian nodded as he glanced to the man, giving a grateful smile. He did not eat like he should, his former master not bothering to feed him much. "Bawwy, ish ah staying wiff ya foreva?" He asked, his mouth full.

"I don't know Killian." Barry hummed lightly. "Maybe." He liked the small child...

"Ah fank ah like ew." The boy nodded, consuming his food as though he had never eaten before. He continued to chatter happily to Barry about anything from his former master to the color of Barry's bowls.

And Barry listened to it all with interest, nodding and chuckling at the appropriate times.
He could get used to this.
"Well I like yuo too kid."

Killian finished his cereal, sitting his spoon inside his bowl and looking at Barry rather expectantly. "Otay! Ish doneh." He nodded his head as he spoke, as if approving his words. "Tan I take a baff?"

"Sure thing kid." Barry nodded, putting Killian's bowl in the sink and scooping the child up to carry him into the bathroom.

Killian wrapped his arms around Barry's neck, hugging onto him as he was carried.
"Ya ish big." Killian nodded his head, he had never felt so much pain after a man had touched him.

"I know." Barry nodded in agreement, filling the tub with water and sitting Killian inside. "Do you need help?" He asked gently.

Killian sat rather still, watching as the water ran from the faucet as he pondered this question. He could do it himself, other slaves had shown him how.
But he didn't particularly want to be alone.
"Maybeh. Tan ew stay 'ere?" He glanced over to Barry, his lips quirked up in a smile. "Ah wike when eew ish 'er."

Barry grinned at the boy.
"Of course I can." He nodded, taking a seat on the edge of the tub, watching the child closely. "How are you feeling sweetheart?" He didn't want to have hurt him too badly.

Killian just shrugged as he laid back in the water, his black hair swimming gracefully around him. "Otay." But the water was coloring pink with the boys blood. He had done this once or twice, being that is all he had ever been allowed to bathe. "Tinda huwrts." He announced though he did not see to preoccupied with it, instead he reached up to rest his small hand atop one of Barry's. "Fank ew fer being dood ta meh."
