Of Repetition and Time

"Course heh es, heh's ours." Killian had yet to let go of the child, the moment he laid eyes on it he had taken it in his arms and he refused to let it go. Tell yar daddeh ta come see et." He felt bad for Manuel having to watch his lover be worked on.

"He's not going to move right now." Luca glanced back at his father who's normally tanned skin was a pale white, drawn in worry. He shook his head. The baby was cooing and babbling words of nonsense at his mother.

"Crocodile, what ef yar ginger friend dies?" He worried about his lover, and he worried for the people who were important to his lover such as Manuel. "Ah think heh should come an sit...But ah know heh wont." He wouldnt have let Luca out of his site.
"Now, ya little brat. Who doh ya think ya are leavin mah stomach earleh?" Killian found a smile for his son.

"I don't know." Luca said simply before smiling at his son, trying to think of another subject.
The child cooed, drool running down his chin as he reached out to pat Killian's cheek.

Killian took the childs hand, rocking the baby slightly as he did so. "Ya do nowt know how bad yar daddeh wanted ta meet ya. See hem? Heh es tha one with tha big 'ead."

The baby appeared to understand, glancing over at Luca and cooing softly.
Luca grinned at the child, caressing his tiny cheek with his thumb.
"I do not have a big head." He pouted at his lover.

"Ya 'ave ah hugeh one love." Killian gently pushed on one of the babies tiny cheeks, laughing softly at the face he had caused it to make. "Yar jus' perfect..."

"Who's perfect? Me or the baby?" Luca wiggled his brows, kissing his lover softly as he stroked his hair.

"Mah babeh es perfect, yar tha bad seed." Killian brushed his stubbled cheek over Luca's, a softly smile splayed out over his face.

"We're all perfect." He whined softly. "Especially our baby." Luca cooed, grinning at the child, nuzzling it's nose.

"Ah'm nowt." Killian scoffed softly, he didn't really believe in perfect things. Well he hadn't until he had laid eyes on his child. "Did ya pick out ah name fer et?"

"Hmmm.... I had something else planned, but it just doesn't feel right now that I'm looking at him. What do you think about Phoenix?"

"Phoenixeh?" Killian let the name roll from his lips, his eyes searching his childs face to see if the baby liked the name. "What doh ya think love? Pheonixeh?"

The baby looked back and forth between both of his parents, his big blue eyes blinking before he giggled breaking out into a large smile.

Killian couldn't help but match his sons smile, bouncing him gently in his arms as he did so. "Luca, ah'm in love."

"Me too... our baby is precious." Luca cooed, watching his lover with the baby.

Trever gently beckoned Manuel over, one of his hands resting just over Augustus's eyes to cover them from the light. He took a seat beside the bed, watching Manuel closely.
"Okay, so, his body is trying to shut down. Having the baby was a little too much for him. I think he is going to pull through but just in case you should spend time with him. Let him see the baby."

"Alright, thank you Trever." Manuel leaned forward, hugging the man tightly. He was quite emotional at the moment and he had always been a hugger.
He moved forward to kiss Augustus's forehead.
"Hey darling..." He moved to pick up their child, holding it out to see its mother.

Augustus groaned softly, cracking his eyes open to see his child. Even though he was in so much pain he could barely remember his name, he managed a smile for his baby.
"Hey there little baby..." The boy rasped out, his eyes watering as he took in his child. He reached out to gently run his finger over the bright red tuff of hair. "Oh no..." He had given it red hair...

"Isn't he beautiful?" Manuel smiled proudly, stroking the child's hair as well.

"He has red hair." Augustus heart ached as he eyed his child. "I gave him red hair..." He felt so horrible for it, but he could not stop himself from being a little proud. It was his baby boy, red hair and all.

"Yes you did sweetheart. He's going to be so gorgeous..." Manuel was so proud... He'd always been upset James hadn't passed on his red hair to Luca.

"Manuel..." Augustus reached out for the man, he wanted to hold his baby, he wanted to kiss his lover. He wanted to be okay. "Don't let anyone pick on him please."

"Of course not baby." Manuel shook his head. "No one will pick on him..."

"Promise me? Promise me he will be okay?" Augustus reached our for his lover, exhaustion forcing his eye lids to droop.
