A Second Round In Hell

Rhett watched his son leave from the window, the heart break clear in his large brown eyes. He missed the boy already.
Trever snorted, glancing to Toni. "Good thing your having another."

Kyndal frowned, hugging onto his lover tightly.
"Yeah baby, we'll have another soon enough."

"Ah know, ah'm always gonna miss mah Coveh though." A new baby would not ever cure that. He wanted his boy...

"I'm sorry baby." Kyndal smiled sadly at his lover, kissing him softly. "I know you miss him but it will be okay..."

"Heh es growin' up, heh es ah good boy." He nodded his head, he just missed the man so much it made him ache.

"He's our little man." Kyndal smiled sweetly at his lover. "He's a good husband to Leon, a good mommy to his babies. I'm proud of him.."

"Ah know et, heh es soh precious." His son was doing so well for himself, he would never try to ruin any of it by asking him to come home.

"I love how sweet you are when it comes to him." Kyndal sighed contently, smiling at his lover. He couldn't wait to see Rhett with a baby again. He adored it.

"Ah'm nowt sweet!". Rhett protested quickly, turning to look at his lover. "Ah jus loveh mah son!" more than anything.

"You're adorable with your babies." Kyndal grinned, nuzzling Rhett's neck.

"Ah ah'm nowt adorableh!" Rhett shook his head, though he still allowed his arms to wind around Kyndal's waist. "Ya don' know what yar talkin' 'bout."

"You're were the best daddy ever." Kyndal grinned. "I loved watching you tuck him into bed and read him a bedtime story." He cooed. He had always been embarrassed he could never help with that.

"Heh did love es storeh's." Rhett let a small smile claim his face. "Heh alsoh loved playin' with es littleh boc cars." He had played with his son for hours.

"He did." Kyndal giggled as he watched his lover. He had watched Rhett play with Cove for hours on end. It had only reminded him why he fell in love with the man. "Oh god, I can't wait to have this baby." He glanced down to pat his stomach.

"Meh either." Even though Rhett had always been the one to get up in the middle of the night when Cove had been a baby. He had figured since Kyndal had carried him for nine months then he would care for him on the nights where he never seemed to stop crying. Rhett had gone several nights at a time without any sleep, just taking care of Cove.

"And I'm so going to help more this time." Kyndal promised, nodding his head. "I'll let you get beauty sleep this time."

"Noh, ah like takin' care of em." It may be why Rhett was so close with Cove. Ever since he had been born Rhett had been the one holding him when he cried, feeding him, washing him, teaching him how to live. And now that the boy was on his own something was missing from Rhett's life. He no longer had a baby to take care of.

"I always felt bad for making you wake up and take care of him though." He hummed lightly.

"Ah doh et because ah want ta, nowt because of you." Rhett shook his head. "If ah wanted ya to doh et ah would ave' told ya ta doh et."

"Still, I could have done it sometimes." Kyndal whined softly.

"But ah like doin et shartstack. Ya can help meh if ya want ta though." He didn't mind that but he enjoyed being the primary parent.

"I will." Kyndal hummed, pecking the man's cheek. Especially because he was getting better at reading now. He could help read the child a bedtime story.

Rhett stood, moving to sit beside his brother. He leaned into Trever, smiling lightly. He remembered Trever doing things for him when he was little, things like he had done for Cove.
"Ah think ya should meet mah momma." He nodded to Kyndal.

"I'd love that." Kyndal grinned brightly at his lover. "You never talked about her much."

"Thah's because ah miss er. Ets easier ta jus' nowt talk 'bout er." But he wanted his momma to meet the love of his life, and the man who is giving him babies.
