Of Hair Loss & Heartthrobs

"And....I want you to find someone else! Not right away, you don't even have to go looking, but I want for you to have someone if you like them." Leon nodded his head, only if Cove liked them though, he didn't want Cove to find someone just because he had asked him too.

"Onleh ef ah find someone ah like." He wasn't sure if he would find someone that he could love like he had loved Leon.

Leon nodded his head, nuzzling Cove's neck. "And Shion and Dacey have to like them." He trusted the twins would take care of his Cove too.
Leon didn't mind dying now...

"Okay sweetheart... ah'll make sure they like em too." Cove sighed, pressing him close to his chest. "Ah don't want anyone but you though, love."

"I wish that you didn't have to worry about that.". Leon held onto Cove tightly, his lips quirked in a frown. "Should we talk to daddy?"

"Ah supposeh..." Cove nodded his head. "Ya want ta tell hem or should ah?"

"I don't know...". Leon looked up at his lover. "I dont want to hurt him..."

"Ah can doh et far ya love." Cove offered, squeezing his lover's hand.

"I kinda wish he didn't love me. You too.". He wanted to save them the hurt of having to let him go. He did not wang them to mourn him...

"Lovin ya es tha best thing ah've ever done." He hugged the boy close, kissing him softly.

Leon pressed into the kiss, clinging to Cove desperately. "I just...". He didn't really have anything to say, so he said something he always said, something Cove had not gone a day without hearing from him since they began courting.
"Your pretty." his voice was full of breaking glass.

"Thank ya love." Cove smiled tearfully. He had grown to appreciate those words. And the thought of not hearing them from Leon again devastated him...

"Do you want to tell daddy?". Leon was the one dying so he certainly did not mind admitting it. It was the truth after all. He just did not want to be the one standing there when his father broke down. "And can I not be burried in a suit?". He already knew what he wanted to wear."

"Ah can tell hem." Cove nodded lightly. "And what doh ya want ta beh buried in, love?" He raised an eyebrow, wiping at his eyes.

"I...I wanna be burried in the blue button down shirt you wore the first time I saw you. And the boxers you wore when we made love. Id like to have something of my daddies...and momma's septum ring. And a picture of you. But I understand if you don't want to gimme the shirt and boxers, they look good on you...". They just made Leon feel comfortable.

Cove blinked, touched by this.
"Of course ya can, love. Ah'll get ya tha shirt and boxers. And ah can get somethin from yar dad for ya." He nodded.

Leon felt at ease with this, leaning heavily into Cove. He had been wearing mostly Cove's clothes since being sick, saving a few that didn't get diry but he had worn so much they smelled like him. He was saving them for Cove to have when he was gone, but only after Trever promised Cove wouldn't get sick from him.
"Wanna go tell daddy now?"

"Ah guess soh." Cove nodded, taking Leon's hand and moving out of the room to find Cade.

Leon followed his lover, his hand closed tight around his lovers. He worried about his father...
"Please take care of him...". Leon whispered to himself.

"Ah'll try ef heh'll let meh." Cove nodded, leaving Leon in the living room as he stepped into Cade's room to speak with the man. The entire room smelled of sex as it usually did lately. Kelton and Cade had stuck to making love every night until Kelton got pregnant. Cade wasn't too happy to see Cove but he hadn't been as unpleasant with the boy since Leon had gotten sick. Cove broke the news to the man and needless to say, Cade was devastated. He sat down on the edge of his bed, his head simply resting in his hand's as he processed the information.

Leon peeped into the room, his eyes sweeping it as his nose scrunched up. He found that the smell of sex made him feel dirty, but that night he and Cove had made love it had smelled nice, more like Cove.
Not like his daddy and his momma.
Leon still though looked inside, torn between if he wanted to go inside and see his father or turn around and pretend he had not even gotten out of bed today.

Cade just sat there a moment before he broke down. He'd never felt this kind of gut wrenching pain. His baby was going to be gone. He didn't even register the fact that he was crying. Didn't even register Cove sitting beside him and wrapping an arm around him. Or himself leaning into Cove's chest and sobbing, letting his son's lover comfort him.

Leon watched them from the door, his brows furrowed as he took in the seen with a cramping stomach and an aching chest.
"Daddy..." He whispered softly, only to himself though as he watched Cove wrap an arm around his father, enticing the only bit of hope he had that things would be okay even if he was gone.
They had each other. They may not particularly like each other but they had both loved Leon, and that was enough.
The boy had no clue what he wanted to do. He was afraid of entering the room, fearing that if his father saw him it would only hurt more.

"Et's goin ta beh alright." Cove murmured, stroking the other man's hair as he glanced over, seeing Leon through the crack in the door and smiling sadly at him as he held Cade to his chest.

Leon smiled back at him rather gratefully, his eyes warm on his lover. Cove was making it so much easier for Leon....
Without him the boy would be so lost.
Leon pushed the door open a bit, peering into the room too try and decide on what to do.
He still was unsure.
The sound of his fathers cries rattling him to his core.
