Of Hair Loss & Heartthrobs

Rhett grabbed the body, throwing it over his shoulder to get it away from his son. He then pulled Cove to his chest, arms wrapped tightly around him, trying to keep him together in the wake of a break down.
"Shhh, ets alrigh' Coveh.". The man cooed softly into his son's ear, gently carding his fingers through Cove's hair.

Cove's chest heaved up and down with silent sobs. He didn't even bother hiding the tears that trailed down his face and settled onto his father as he buried his head in his chest.
No, it couldn't be real... Leon had to just be sleeping... he had to.
"L-Leon... Love.." Cove murmured, reaching up to grab Leon's body, shaking him gently. "Loveh, wake up..."

Rhett took a deep breath, his arms circling around Cove's waist and holding him tightly. He pressed a kiss into his neck and softly let his voice comfort his son, speaking words that only a father could.
"Leon!" Kelton was on the edge of the boat, fingers curled around the railing so hard his knuckled were white as he looked for any sign of life in his son.

The second Cade heard the panic in his lover's voice he put his rod down, his head snapping over to Leon. His baby.. He practically dove over the side of the boat into the water, prying Leon away from Rhett, sobbing as his chest constricted painfully.
Cove looked over at the other man, slowly pulling away from his father to move over and take Cade in his own arms. He'd promised Leon he would help Cade.

Rhett watched the two them, optin to move and wrap his arms around both of the man, lips burried in Cove's hair as he held them.
"Hes nowt hurtin' anymore...". He hoped that would provide some shred of comfort to them, his own chest aching at the site. On the broat Kelton dropped to his knees, folding into himself as grief clung to him.

Gabriel and Kyndal simultaneously moved to hug Kelton, Kyndal stroking the boy's head gently as Cove sobbed into his father's chest.
He wanted his Leon already. It was killing him knowing the boy was not coming back...

Rhett kept a strong hold on his son, spying Angel on land and ordering him to ring Misery. He figured if anyone was going to make Cove feel better it would be Misery.
"M-My babys GONE!!" Kelton bared his teeth, trying hard to calm himself down. He did not need to put all this stress on his body being he was carrying a baby. It just hurt so bad, like part of him had been cut out.

"It'll be okay sweetheart." Kyndal cooed, rocking Kelton in his arms. "He wouldn't want us all to be sad like this. Especially if he knew you were pregnant." Kyndal made sure to whisper the last part so no one else would hear. Although he was pretty sure Cade could hear nothing over his own sobbing.
"Daddeh..." Cove cried softly. He sounded pitiful but he no longer cared. "Daddeh, kiss hes cheek... make hem better..." He pleaded softly.

Rhett cursed softly, taking Leon'a body and dropping to his knees on the land before laying the body out. He then leaned over it and tried his best to breath air into the boy. His hands gently fondling the boy, pushing down in hopes to start his body back up.
"Call Trever too.". He ordered Angel, hoping it wasn't really time to let go.
Kelton shook his head, covering his face with his hands.
"But my Leonardo..."

Cove sat beside his father, watching his lover with hopeful eyes.
"Love please..." He sobbed softly, taking Leon's hand.

Rhett leaned down, mouth pressed flushed against Leon's as his hands moved.
There was a flutter of lashes, and a twitch of the boys hand.

Cove watched his father hopefully. If his daddy could fix this... he truly was superman...
"Love..." He whispered.

"Cove...". Leon's head moved, hand tightening, but it was weak. Rhett was trying though, for his son he had to try.
It was hard for Leon to let go when Cove continued to pull him back.

"Leon, ah love ya." He whispered softly, caressing the boy's cheek.

"Cove....Im tired...." The boy's eyes opened slightly, his vision blurred. "I love you too." His voice was barely even there as Rhett pressed on his chest trying to keep his heart moving.

"Stay awake babeh.. pleaseh." Cove begged softly. "Ah know yar tired... but pleaseh.."

"But....I..." Leon looked over to his lover, eyes welling with tears. He didn't want to stay, he had been at peace finally and the thought of being in so much pain again....
It brought tears to his eyes.
Or maybe that was the pleading he heard from Cove.
He decided to try to stay though, as long as he could for Cove.

Cove saw, saw the look in Leon's eyes. He wanted to let go.
Cove had to let him go.
"Look at meh." He whispered, taking Leon's face in his hands. "Ah love ya. Ah'll miss ya. Goodbyeh love." He pressed his lips to Leon's softly, holding the boy close, preparing himself.

Leon weakly pressed up into the kiss, his last breath lost in Cove's mouth as he finally let go completely, at peace with he fact that Cove allowed him to go.
It was the best death he could have asked for.
Rhett gently rubbed circles on his son's back, watching the two boys as if in a trance. It had been amazing the way the two interacted, how his son was so attentive to Leon and all the boys needs.

Cove buried his head in Leon's neck, inhalling his lover's scent as the tears fell once more. He wanted to die. He couldn't do this anymore. He glanced over to the lake, everyone's eyes on him and Leon. Maybe he could drown himself. It would be easy. Painless.
He just didn't know what to do with himself. So he slumped over on his side in the grass and cried. He cried like he hadn't since he was just a toddler, the tears showing no signs of stopping.

Rhett reached for his son only to stop and look up as a car neared the lake, Misery stepping out into the sun with a cheeky smile, one that slid off his face, falling to the ground and shattering as he laid eyes on Cove.
And then his eyes hit Leon.
"Oh hell." Angel had neglected to mention that Leon had just kicked the bucket.
Misery quickly made his way to Cove, dropping by his side and gathering the other in his arms, laying the younger's head in his lap as he ran his fingers through the cropped hair.
"Cove, you know your being a pussy?" Misery smiled down at him, his hands trembling as his heart cracked. His poor Cove...
"But I guess its alright, just for today though." He gently caressed the others cheek, pulling him closer and folding him into the waiting arms.

Cove buried his head in Misery's thigh, his hands grabbing at the boy's hips, pulling him closer.
"Misereh..." He murmured lightly.

"Hey." Misery greeted lightly, bending down to lightly wipe away Cove's tears. "Bad day?"
While Misery had Cove's attention, Rhett looked to Gabriel for what they wanted done with Leon.

Gabriel approached solemnly, his own eyes watery as he lifted Leon up. They would need to set up a funeral... he didn't want to. He wanted this all to go away. He didn't want his grandbaby to go...

"Gabriel, Ah can take care of et fer ya." Rhett was capable and honestly he did not care that Leon was gone. He glanced down as Misery moved to curl up around his son, gently pressing comforting kisses to his cheeks and forehead.
