Trever frowned at the other boy, shaking his head.
"Barry, if I could have you here, nothing else would matter! Screw the risk! I want a life time of this hell is I could just have a night with you, everything if I can swing it. I will accept any punishment, Jus-"
He paused, he didnt want to sound clingy, ew.

"Alright, alright." Barry grinned lightly. "I'll stay here." He wrapped his arms around Trever's waist tightly.

Trever almost jumped out of his skin he was so happy. He vibrated in the others arms, placing butterfly kisses all over Barry's face, just missing his lips.
Trever did love Barry, but he had never gotten the nerve to kiss him on his lips. That would be Trever's first real kiss...

Barry grinned, wanting so badly to just throw Trever down and take that kiss. He loved Trever more than anything...
But instead he just hugged him close, pressing kisses down his neck with a smile.

"Barry..." Trever grinned lightly into the nape of his neck. "Stop that..." He nipped at Barry's skin softly, as not to hurt the other.

"Nah..." Barry winked, just letting his lips rest against Trever's smooth skin, nuzzling it with his nose lightly.

Trever shook his head, threading his fingers through Barry's hair.
"Love you, dork." He couldnt help but smile though.

"Love you too." Barry sang, kissing all over Trever's face, his hands rubbing the boy's sides gently.

Trever was almost going to kiss Barry, his lips were just an inch away when his body became rigid. He heard his father inside the home screaming at Rhett with all the hatred in the world.
His blood ran cold.
Not his baby brother...
Rhetts sweet face flashed into his mind and he was up, on his feet in seconds, climbing through his window with little thought as he called to Barry.
"Wait for me!!"
And he was gone...

Barry watched after him, thinking a moment before crawling through the window behind him. He didn't know what to do... He wanted to help keep Rhett and Trever from getting hurt but he didn't want Trever's father to see him and get pissed either. So he settled on waiting in Trever's bedroom, peeking through the door, prepared to help if it got too ugly.

Trever bounded down the stairs toward his father, who had just now rared back, ready to hit Rhett with all he had. Trever's mother stood off a little bit, hollering at her husband to "DON' YA DAREH TOUCH MAH BABEH!!"
Trever swooped in and shoved Rhett back just as his father was swinging, his hand meeting nothing but air.
The man roared in anger, throwing the long menacing bottle of Jack Daniels he had in his hand at Trever's head, the boy ducking out of the way at the last moment.
He watched the glass container shatter as it come into contact with the wall, splinters and liquor running in a steady stream down to the floor.
"CLEAN THAT UP WOMEN!" The man bellowed to his wife, pointing a finger at the mess he had made. The women looked so hatefully at the man but she did as he said, scurrying over to the mess with a small cloth to dry it up with.
"You, boy! I oughta kick you in the teeth for that! He needs to be punished!" Dorian, Trever's father glared at his older son furiously.
"What for? He never does anything to you dad!" Trever pressed Rhett behind him, fending for his brother as much as he could.
"Dont you be calling me your 'dad' Im so ashamed to have you wearing my last name! Id be better off if your slut mother would have let me drown you as soon as your ugly little arse came into the world!" THe man stomped his heavy booted shoe. "An that b*stard wouldnt tell me where you had run off to you little spit f*ck!"
The older of the two kids just sighed, shaking his head and glancing back at Rhett who was trembling and flinching everytime his father yelled.
"He didnt know!"
"Like H*ll he didnt!" Dorian challenged, roughly grabbing Trever by the collar of his shirt. "Your a dirty little liar!"
"He didnt know." Trever let his father hold him in the air. He knew he wouldnt win the argument but he kept his ground.
"Your a f*ckin LIAR!" Dorian spat in Trever's face, throwing him as far as he could across the room, same spot he had thrown the bottle.
"Now get your lazy arse outside to that Barn! You got chores to do boy!"
"Yes sir..." Trever spoke lightly, he didnt want to argue about it anymore, it seemed Dorian had forgotten about Rhett at this point.
"And you, ya little loosey goosey whore! that had better be cleaned up by the time in home!" He belled to the women on her knees by Trever, who simply placed her hands over her face and sobbed loudly.
And with that, Dorian left the home, slamming the door hard enough that the entire place rattled with the force.
Rhett immediately trotted over to hug his brother, tears in his large brown eyes.
"T-Tebver....a-ahm s-s-sorr-sorreh!!"
Trever shook his head, smiling to the younger boy and petting his head.
"Its okay Rhett, shhhh." He soothed softly. "Its okay..."

When Dorian was gone, Barry slowly stepped out of Trever's room, walking over to the two brother's, ignoring their mother in the corner. He wrapped them both up in his arms, pressing them close.
Trever was his everything, but he had a soft spot for Rhett as well. It was impossible not to. The young boy was adorable.
"Trev, go do whatever your chores are, I got him..." He pressed a kiss to one of Rhett's cheeks that were damp with his tears, hugging him close.

Trever shot Barry a grateful smile, placing a kiss to Rhett's forehead and one to Barry's nose.
"Ill be back, Rhett be good for momma kay?"
"K-kaeh..." The boy sniffled, he tried his hardest not to cry like his big brother but it was useless. He was five, and the tears over flowed his eyes and continued coming.
"A-Ah....B-Barreh? A-Ah..." He tried to wipe his eyes with balled up fists. "T-Teber a-an...."

"Hey sweetheart, it'll be alright." Barry shushed the boy softly, rocking him back and forth in his arms.

Rhett buried his head into Barry's chest, crying out pitifully. He felt so horrible, like it was all his fault his father was so mean to everyone.

Barry lifted the boy, carrying him back to Trever's room and lying on the bed with him, stroking his hair softly.
"Hey it's okay, Rhett. Cheer up, sweety." Barry said in a singsong voice, watching the boy.

Rhett shook his head, refusing to show his face.
Big boys didnt cry.
"N-Noh..."
He heard his mother down stairs, the women was trying to cook supper in enough time so she could feed the kids and put them to bed so they wouldnt be around when there father came home.
She poked her head into the room, gazing at Barry fearfully.
"W-Whah are ya doin' weth mah boyeh?"

Barry let his fingers move across the boy's tummy, tickling him lightly, smiling playfully.
"Quite frankly, it's none of your business considering you don't care for him at all, but I wouldn't dream of hurting him, so don't worry." Barry spoke to the woman.

The women blinked at him, shock evident on her face.
Rhett gasped softly, shoving at Barry's hands.
"D-Don' talk ta mah mommeh likeh thah! A-Ah'll tell Treber!" The boy threatened, anger clear on his small face.
"Tell Mommeh yar sorreh!"

Barry sighed but did look over at Rhett's mother.
"Sorry, ma'am." No, he wasn't sorry at all. If he had his way, he would have said much more unpleasant things to the woman.

Ballet, the mother of Trever and Rhett paused. She looked square at Barry and narrowed her eyes.
"Yah. Ah don' no' whoh ya thin' ya areh, buh yar noh helpin' at alleh. Howeh dareh ya comeh in hereh tellin' meh how ah feel abou' mah childreneh! Ets noh easeh livin' hereh ya knoweh. Ets nott likeh Ah can jus' walk off an leaveh..."
He would find them.
He would kill them.
"Ah don' appreciateh ya comin' yarself in hereh an' bein' mean ta meh." He shook her head at him. "None thah les' suppah's reddeh'. Ya are welcomeh ta join useh."

"Thank you." Barry spoke but said nothing more. He despised Trever's mother, though not nearly as much as he did his father. He hated anyone who made Trever unhappy. And they were the only thing keeping Trever from leaving with him...

Rhett smiled at him, his mother watching them a moment longer.
"Rhehh, goh get yar brothah. Tell em ta comeh eat."

"I'll go with him." Barry nodded, heading off after the five year old. He didn't want to be with that woman any longer than necessary.

Rhett bounded down the stairs, and through the door. The yard was large, three whole acres to themselves. The barn was almost three yards away. Rhett slipped through the door and glanced around, Trever was under neath an old tractor, trying to repair it. It was what his father had been after him about.
