The Vow

"Thank you. I will." She smiled reassuringly at him, looking over the number.

Aaron nodded, he wanted a kiss but that would be awkward, so with a still seemingly awkward wave, he stepped out of the house and into the morning sun.

She wasn't quite ready to kiss him but she would get there... eventually.
She decided on stepping into the living room, sitting on the couch where Quincy was also but she shied away from him. He was large and intimidated herr, she didn't know he was a nice man.

Quincy just glanced at her, raising an eye brow.
What a weird girl she was.
He just figured he would ignore her for the time being.

She gave him a light smile, other than that simply sitting there and watching the television.

"So kid...." Quincy was wondering about the girl now, she was never this quiet.
"Whats up with you, mad at me or something?" It was obvious he was related to Aaron, they looked so much alike.

"Um..." She assumed he was Aaron's father...and Aaron said his father liked her but she didn't know... "Aaron didn't tell you?" She questioned lightly.

Quincy glanced over at the girl, his face a look of confusion.
"Kid, I work all day, you know that."

"Actually I don't..." She sighed. "When Aaron and I were in that.. car wreck, I got hit in the head and now I don't really remember anything since I was younger. I don't even remember Aaron but I'm supposed to go back to my normal routine..." She trailed off. "So, I'm sorry. I'm just... not quite sure who you are."

Quincy nodded as if this was no big deal, reading out one of his large shovel like hands.
"Quincy McDaniels. Im his father."

"Nice to meet you Mr. McDaniels." She smiled as she shook his large hand. She was more proper now than she'd been when they had really first met.

Quincy nodded to her, he was laid back as ever, his feet propped up on the table.
"So, tell me about you now kid?"

She smiled lightly at him.
"Well sir, I don't really know. I love my momma and daddy more than anything... I don't know how I was when you knew me." She was much more polite now... That's how she'd been when living with her parents. When she moved out, she loosened up adn that was the Ivy that had met Aaron..

Aaron nodded, glancing her over. "Well for one thing, when I met you, you were more like a guy than a girl, you slouched, didnt use a lot of manners, just kinda one of the boys."

That didn't sound like her at all. God, all this made her brain hurt. It killed her not remembering anything.
But maybe that was why she had those boy clothes...
"Well that's different..." She simply shook her head. But she liked this man. He seemed nice so she leaned into him. "Well what are you like?" she asked

"Im a father of ten kids, actually more, I have a job, a bad past and reputation that keeps me at the top of the food chain." He shrugged, a smile on his face. "I love my family."

"You seem sweet." She grinned at him. "You're big though... you scared me. That's why I wasn't talking at first." She admitted.

"Yeah, I have that effect on a lot of people."
It was a good thing, he didnt like people really.

"I can imagine." She nodded lightly. But now she was comfortable, curled up to him slightly.

Quincy sat an arm around her, pressing her close.
"So kid, you dont remember Aaron?"

"Not at all." She shook her head. "He seems sweet but I don't remember..."

"He loves you a lot." Quincy was still mad about Aaron and Zac but he was getting better. It was slow though.

"I can tell..." She smiled softly. "I hope I can remember him eventually..." She felt bad.

"Im sure you will, but its not your fault it you cant, some times you just have to handle the cards you were dealt. Life isnt fair and it never will be." Quincy shrugged at her, a small on his face as he thought about all the wonders of life.

"You're odd." She giggled lightly shaking her head. But it was in a good way. "But you make good points."
