Angel nodded slowly, drinking the information in.
"You... Dont you want..."
He was confused about the same thing with Gabriel...
"Y-You could have an-anyone..why him? W-with his scars and h-his history... And his m-mean streak."
Misery could be quite the arsehole sometimes.

""Ah just do... heh's always been there far meh... Always, noh matter what. Well, until now." Cove nodded.

"H-He woul-wouldnt tell me why you guys w-were fighting.". The boy wanted to know but Misery just didnt want to talk about it.

"Et's complicated..." Cove sighed. "Ah was an asshole ta him."

"Sure i-it was you and n-not him?". Angel chewed his lip as he asked. He knew how Misery could be.

"Et was meh, Angel. Et's okay." They arrived at Carter's house. "Thank ya." He got out of the car, helping Angel down before grabbing the box and setting it on the doorstep.

Angel knocked on the door, groaning as his tiny fist made little noise.
Sometimes, he disliked his being so small.

Cove chuckled and knocked firmly for him before getting back in his truck. He started the truck but waited there. He just wanted to see Misery... just once.

Angel frowned, he wanted them to make up so badly.
Misery opened the door, his eyes landing on the box.
He immediately fell to his knees, grasping the hoodie of Cove's he always wore. He pressed the garmet to his chest, rocking himself on the balls of his feet, he finally looked up at Angel, already putting the hoodie on when he first noticed Cove.
His body went ridgid, his eyes wide and miserable as he looked to the other.
Cove...
Oh how he was dying to reach out for the boy...

Cove flashed the boy a sad smile, his own eyes showing his pain. But with that smile, he backed out of the parking lot, heading back to his own home. Alone.

Misery stepped forward, he couldnt help himself, it was reflex. Cove was unhappy and so Misery wanted so desperately to fix that.
With a hand extended he wished he could touch Cove, at least one more time.

Cove watched the boy in his rearview mirror until he could no longer see him. He sighed heavily. It was really killing him... living without Misery.

Misery sighed heavily, slowly trudging back to the home.
He felt so empty...
He stepped inside and flopped down on the couch, leaving everything outside except for the hoodie he was wearing.

Carter plopped down beside the boy.
"Get your things?" He arched an eyebrow, looking at the hoodie. "I like that, looks good on you."

"My things are on the door step." Misery snuggled into the hoodie, breathing in the familiar scent. "An yeah, I like it too...."

"You look cute." Carter smiled lightly, tugging the boy closer to him and kissing his temple.

Misery snorted as he snuggled into Carter, his small body gathering goosebumps at the smell of Cove and Carter combined.

"Doesn't smell like you though." Carter noted, pulling the boy closer despite this though.

Misery glanced to his lover, wondering if he would question it further.
"Smells good though..."
The smell of Cove comforted him, made him feel safe.

"It looks big on you, is it Rhett's or something?" Carter questioned.

"I dont believe its Rhett's." Misery couldnt remember Rhett ever wearing this, only Cove. "I like how big it is. Its comfortable."

"Well alright." Carter nodded. "You look adorable." He nipped lightly at the boy's neck.

Misery nodded his head, his fluffy hair tickling Carter's face.
"I know."
Be didnt respond to the nipping though, he just laid in the mans lap and thought back to Cove.
He missed him.

"Love you." Carter murmured, sitting back and glancing at the boy. "You okay?"

"Yeah."
But no, he felt completely empty. He didnt even bother with food, he knew it wouldnt help. Cove used to fill all the space that surrounded him he made him feel complete again.
Without Cove he was so hollow...
And truly, it pained him to think that soon he would just be gone. He was sure anything Cove still had of his would be packed away under the boys bed to hide it away.
The bed where he gave himself to Cove countless time, and Cove to him.
